The defender acting as a blocker against opposition standing on the keeper has been around as long as I've been watching/playing football.

Why have we decided not to do it and then complain that our keeper is not being protected?

We are supposed to provide the protection ffs!

Fucking tough half that. Everton super fucking aggressive, and winning every second ball.

We scored two fabulous goals, but in between it was a real shitkick fest. Very scrappy from us and we are making heavy weather of it.

This is where Johnson makes it hard, as he has zero ability to up arse pressure and makes it very hard to play out down the right, and Bentancur isn’t really helping much either.

It’s rather amazing we’re playing this well with this level of results when we haven’t really got a good midfield at the moment

Remember that refs are meant to blow the whistle as soon as someone goes down with a head injury?

Why no whistle for Destiny when he is clearly clutching his head?

As i said in an earlier post! Gonna be really interesting to see if teams do this to the other "big" teams, and how that will be handled by the ref's!
Pundits will say it needs to be cut out and refs would start to do their actual fucking jobs.

Only us they feel it's ok to take the living piss.

Asian final next Saturday, AFCON final next Sunday. If Son and Bissouma get through they will only miss our game against Brighton and then they will be back.

"Law 12:

Indirect Free Kick

An indirect free kick is awarded if a player:
  • impedes the progress of an opponent without any contact being made"

It should be a foul.

If Vicario were to "BE STRONGER" like pundits seem to suggest, give the attacker a little shove when the corner is delivered - you can bet a penalty would be given against us and not many other teams.

It's kind of a situation where the referee can just allow what they want. Historically keepers were protected and couldn't be touched in the area. Now it can literally be whatever the ref does or doesn't fancy or find funny.
Clueless.

I think these past few weeks and performances at times have shown just how much we miss an in form Bissouma.

No one in that midfield capable of just relieving pressure and resisting any aggressive press.
