It's becoming very obvious that FFP is beginning to have a huge impact, no point overpaying for likes if Nusa if it damages your ability to trade down the line. It's a tricky one because as easy as overpaying is, letting one go that was available at the right price can happen just as easily.
Suspect we may spend more liberally if we had all our unwanted off our books.

The problem people do not see was Nusa was a luxury if we could get him because he is still very raw. So we made an enquiry but had a price and what Brugge were asking was above the price.
It's really our best route to develop the team. When those chances come around we should take them.

Fucking hell, so this is why so many people think they know so much about players they've never seen. They pay to subscribe to something called WyScout. FFS
Got to admire the passion tho!!

According to reports, Tottenham Hotspur could join the race to sign Bayern Munich star Joshua Kimmich, who has been linked with Liverpool this month.

Kimmich has consistently been regarded as a world-class talent and one of his strongest assets is his versatility. Having started his career as a right-back, the 28-year-old has blossomed into a brilliant defensive midfielder.

The Germany international continues to be a vital player for Bayern Munich as he has been involved in seven goals in his 23 appearances this term across all competitions.

Despite this, Kimmich has been heavily linked with a move to the Premier League in recent weeks. Liverpool and Manchester City are among the clubs interested in the midfielder, who is out of contract in 2025.

January transfer window silly season has *finally* arrived as Spurs have reportedly joined the race to sign Kimmich as they are understood to be plotting an ambitious transfer.

Having already signed Timo Werner and Radu Dragusin from RB Leipzig and Genoa respectively this month, Football Insider are reporting that their ‘priority’ is to sign a new centre-midfielder before the January transfer window closes.

Bayern Munich could reportedly ‘let Kimmich leave this month’ and Tottenham ‘could make a sensational move for him if they miss out on Chelsea star Conor Gallagher’. The report adds.

‘Sources told Football Insider (26 January) that Spurs are readying a shock last-gasp bid to prise Gallagher from Chelsea before the January window closes.

‘It is believed that the German giants would want between £40-60million to let the 28-year-old leave this month.

Just feel like this window was possibly a unique opportunity to go big with very little competition.
Of course it was, We have a reported £485million of FFP wriggle room at our disposal built up through years of frugality and profit.
But we just never, ever, seize the moment and take the opportunity to push on.
It's the way this club works and it's why Ange will unnecessarily be operating in a straight jacket just like his predecessors

This is the sweet spot where an investment of say 250M could completely revamp your side for the next five years and potentially get 4 or 5 players at well below prior market pricing. Instead, no. We align with others who literally can’t spend due to FFP and reset out frugal-meter

The idea that 'guaranteed lack of playing time' is swaying Nusa away from us and towards Brentford is ridiculous...
As the first half of this season has shown, most of our attacking midfield options have been absent at one time or another, and we've been down to the bare bones in some matches...

Of COURSE he'll get game time! (Especially with the way our players were falling like flies at one point!)

You can't win, if you dont have a big enough squad, you suffer with injuries, but to build a bigger squad, you MUST have players prepared to wait and rotate within it!

Fuck knows how ANY game got played in the PAST with just ONE sub.... Remember that...? ONE SUB!!

The Chance we should take is Niko Williams a player I have actually watched. He would cost £50M and we would have to pay the clause but he can be an elite winger who can go both ways and would come straight into our first team.

Well it’s not ridiculous because it’s true. Learn to read.

Facts are facts, and that’s what happened.

Just because it doesn’t fit into your agenda, doesn’t make it not true I’m afraid.

Edit: Anyone who disagrees is also wrong.

Was he not dead set on staying in Spain? Not criticising, just asking.

That said, he hasn’t receive a phone call from Big Ange…!
