How much has Udogie adapting well been because he was loaned out beforehand to get some quality first-team experience?
I think that it helped, but he is also the kind of player with the physical and mental characteristics that would have adapted well even if he had come in last year. Provided we had Ange at the helm. Sarr is one where the loan back was probably more necessary.

In days gone by ManU 'owned' the referee and both linesmen - a total of 14 too : but there 14 had more influence on the pitch !

(See Pedro Mendes 'goal' at Old Trafford for proof !)
Man Utd, Liverpool, Chelsea and Woolwich have 'influenced' so many refs over the years, it's unreal.

Not sure we need another midfielder. With all ours fit I'm very happy with our current options and depth.

Would like to see us bring in a proven forward, though the level I would want is probably asking too much in a January window.
A level well above Solomon, Johnson, Richarlison, Gil, Sessegnon.. I'm not convinced Werner walks into our attack but would like to see a someone as guaranteed to start as Son.

We have Skipp starting, clearly there are issues with our depth.

Yep a midfielder is just squad depth.

We have an absolute quality GK, defence and midfield now.

Just need that sprinkling of brilliance in the front 3 to take us to the elite level imo.

Richy/Johnson/Werner/Solomon/Gil all a rung below that level.

Question marks whether Kulu at RW is the way forward too. Plus Son isn't getting any younger.

Skipp has started 2 of our 20 games. He hasn't started in 90% of our games.

Bissouma has been available for 75% of our games, Sarr 90%, Bentancur 25%, Maddison 55%.

Sarr has started 16 games, Bissouma 15, Maddison 11, Hojberg and Lo Celso 4 each.
Bentancur has only started 2 games purely due to injury. No midfielder has started fewer games than Skipp. Do you know what you're talking about?

I stuck this in an AI summariser so some bits are quite funny to read.

The speaker mentions that the team's owner Daniel Levy and sports director Johan Lang have been working hard on this transfer, which is a five and a half year deal with an option for another year. The speaker notes that Levy and Lang have been planning for this transfer window with Postecoglou and other team executives. Dragusin's decision to join Tottenham came as a surprise, as there were reports suggesting he was leaning towards a move to Germany with Bayern Munich. However, the speaker explains that these reports did not make much sense given Dragusin's subsequent decision. The interest in Dragusin has been there for some time, with the team's executives reportedly watching him play for Genoa in Italy in December 2022. Dragusin was brought to Juventus from Mediaus RasenBallsport by Fabio Paratici in 2018, and although there was interest from other European clubs, Paratici took him in and made his debut for the team in the Champions League at the age of 19. Dragusin was then loaned out to Sassuolo for the second half of the season, but it was his loan spell at Genoa where his form improved, leading to a permanent signing after their promotion back to Serie A

The speaker highlights his high tackle success rate, low number of dribbles past, and versatility as reasons why Dragusin could be a valuable addition to Tottenham. Thanks for the replies and Shadydan Shadydan too. Isn't it as advantageous to have them around though and understand the processes and mentality of the team that bought them? Give them an attainable goal to be on the bench then some minutes then some starts etc? I mean, I know Kane went on plenty of loans and it appears to work so I don't doubt the system but surely there are downsides too?
Was a downside for jack Clarke as when he stayed at leeds he didn't get as much game time as he was only a bit part player for them. I think it works when they are still considered an important 1st team player for the selling club.

How many games do you think depth players usually start? 10% is about right, and is a clear mark we need to upgrade that depth.
