Surely this constant thing about playing a certain way needs to stop. No other manager keeps going on about it. Fact is whatever style of football we played today certainly wasn’t all out front foot attack. We barely managed to play the ball out.
What Ange needs to do is learn to mix it up. Go long sometimes and get defenderscturning. Get FBs out wide on the overlap. Surely needs must with the shite players we have in defence. Even the midfiekd without macs looked very average. If we don’t tweak tactics a little we are in for a struggle. To be honest we haven’t dominated any game from start to finish and end up hanging on in a few. We’ve only scored more than 2 goals in a game once v Burnley. So still lots to do abd even with main 11 we haven’t looked totally convincing.

100% on kulu. What do the coaching team analyse when they watch the game back. He messed up virtually every attack and lost the ball so many times on the counter. The front just don’t hold the ball well enough. To no we create virtually nothing from the wide forwards unless the FBs get out wide like for first goal. However they are virtually in CM in most plays. Just look at the winner we had how many players clustered in the centre circle? We need to get it wide but have no option. There is no point paying £45M for BJ and then passing him the ball on the half way line with his back to goal and playing on the left. What is he meant to do. He never got a run at the fB. Whereas kulu had plenty of the ball but did nothing with it.
Not going to depress myself any more by reading through this thread but mitigating circumstances or not we were fucking awful - Davies was quality but few others turned up today - painful way to lose but we deserved nothing out of todays game - porro was ok I guess and all the subs showed a bit of energy can’t understand why son wasn’t subbed 75 minutes or so he was out in his feet at least Veliz would have posed a few problems up top
