Something from RAWK which is think is a fun little read.
It's the last sentence for me...
He's absolutely right on Ange though.

"If the officials were not corrupt or biased against us, they still had plenty of time to try and rectify the "mistake".

You can't retrospectively award a goal after the game has restarted? Fine. Weird, but fine. What you do instead is you go over to the managers and explain to them what has happened and why you're in the position you're in. You then recommend to Postecoglu that to avoid an absolute shitshow, Tottenham should let Liverpool score the goal they are due.

Hell, Postecoglu might tell him to go and fuck himself, but at least then you've tried to remedy the situation. Liverpool can also then direct their angst towards the unsporting behaviour of the opposition rather than solely on the incompetence of the PGMOL.

What happened instead is that the officials knew they fucked up, did absolutely nothing about it, and then proceeded to continue fucking Liverpool over with each and every decision in the game, completely going against standard human nature. That's why you know there is more at play here."
:mourwhat:

Just letting Liverpool score a free goal in front ot 60,000 Yids would absolutely avoid a shitshow, sure. Besides, isn't the referee telling a team to concede a goal on purpose coming awfully close to match fixing?

The sense of entitlement is insane.

I've said it for ages. GPS chip in the heel of the players' boots and another in the ball. Automate everything for an instant result.
Gps isn’t accurate enough I think, though newer generation (not yet implemented) might be? You could use a local technological though to track objects like this. Sensors in the ball etc. surely doable.

"Let Liverpool score the goal they are due". What the fuck is this? Playground football?? Fucking hell, heard it all now, these pricks need to grow the fuck up!

Question the result?

Tooth is obviously very infected?!
You should go to the doctor about this!

Before you overturn a match result, you should think about whether you want to abolish the VAR!
In the opposite case, the tooth would certainly have had a great deal of understanding that people make mistakes and would have reasoned that it was just a game and mistakes happen and that all of this would even out over the course of the season.
But now it hits the tooth itself and things look completely different, correct tooth?!

Go to the doctor!

They fell apart because they couldn't live with us.

Sure they had a good goal ruled out for offside, but that has happened to countless teams since the dawn of organised football.
Good teams score more than once.
We scored twice. And had one chalked off for offside.

Everyone in football has been hard done by due to poor officials. We all want it to be perfect, but nothing new has happened to Liverpool here.

In terms of VAR, technically it has.

They had a perfectly good goal ruled out because those at VAR thought the goal was given and they said yes its onside, it's fine. Not realising it was given as off in the first place. I don't believe that's ever happened before.

Which makes it even funnier. 😂

Bit surprised they tried to use drones above the pitch tbh

Yes. LOL. For the first time in the history of football, a sport that each week throws up numerous wrong decisions that materially impact games, we have to treat this incident completely differently to the millions of injustices in the past? Er, why?

No. It wasn't forceful enough. If you played the game you'd understand. If he genuinely wanted to injure Bissouma, going over the ball, he'd have went through it a lot harder.
Doesn’t have to genuinely wanted injure though does it?
Most fouls are not intended to injure the oppo player. However tackles are , mistimed, player does a bit of skill and is caught , etc. happens every game! Jones has gone in over the ball and has not got nowhere enough to the other side of the ball with the inside of his foot to be able to win it and control it. All his done is touch the top of the ball with his studs. So therefore his late. Biss already made contact with the ball first.
Can’t believe the dissection that foul has caused. Most fans would say it’s a red if it happened to their team.

abolish VAR

I'm not sure VAR is the issue. But they need to change the rules to prevent VAR from dictating things.

If the current offside rule for example needs you to take 5 minutes to decide what's right after drawing lines etc then it's ridiculous.

Doesn't help that the people making the decisions are so inconsistent that it makes a mockery of it all.

Let us hear the conversations too. Let us understand why they're making the decisions.

Why?

Abolish VAR to go back to the old system where referees were making even more incorrect decisions.

VAR gets the vast majority of decisions correct so if you want to abolish it you'll get even more errors.

The solution is to improve the people that use it or train them better.
The problem is not VAR it is the rules and the interpretation of them.

The fact is the Liverpool goal was a genuine f up by the officials and ignores that their can be a misunderstanding in communication. We can ignore this because it is one case and a major fuck up but not deliberate.

The fact is whenever this has happened to Spurs whether it is the Mendes goal, Gomes stopping the ball on the line, the soft handball in the first minute of the champions league final, Jota trying to end Skipp's career, we have never received an apology for the mistake we have been told to move on. The fact is the Mendes Goal we were told it was more important that the linesman job was to check whether the player was offside than the ball crossed the line.

The apology actually angers me more because it is unwarranted because they do not give one out for every decision and gives these foaming at the mouth Liverpool fans and pundits an excuse.

The fact is the offside call itself was marginal anyway. The fact it needed lines to figure out he was onside by millimetres demonstrates it was a marginal call. Goals have been wrongly chalked off for marginal offsides for years without so much fucking fuss.

It's not like he was stood clearly onside by half a yard, is it?

Maybe all this helps us actually. Nobody is actually discussing us directly, we continue to fly under the radar.
