You want to enjoy the games. You support Tottenham. I was being facetious.
Ah, no worries slow on the uptake.

I’m sure we could play exciting and enjoyable football with these players if we utilised them properly.
When you spend so much watching a game, it’s not unreasonable to want to be entertained and I wish managers would consider that.

It’s been so flat this season all bar a couple of games, I’m not normally for sacking the manager but for me we need to change things up if we want to see that exciting football again.

Conte isn’t free of blame, he’s stubborn and continues to play players that are out of form and blindly sticks to a formation even when it’s obvious it isn’t working

But to expect a squad to challenge for stuff when the centre back options are

Romero
Dier
Davies
Sanchez
Tanganga
Lenglet

Is criminal

I’ll be honest I don’t even think Romero is good enough. Yes he’s aggressive and a cunt but he consistently gets skinned and lets people get shots away by refusing to close down

And the rest are lower mid table level at best

Conte (and us) have been let down by Levy scrimping on the most important part of his favoured tactical plan

‘Want Bastoni, gvardiol or skriniar? Here’s lenglet on loan’
I mean that’s a fair point and I take that into consideration but for me Newcastle’s back line is not much better but Howe has turned them into the stingiest defence in the league.

Before Howe went their, would we take Dan Burn or Have trippier back? He’s getting a tune out of bang average players and that’s what I’d like to see from Conte but he just watches them getting fried week N week out without working on mistakes made.

Yeah I see what you’re saying, and we looked so much better defensively when Stellini was running the team. As I say Conte isn’t free of blame by a long stretch

I gave up on the challenging fallacy a good few months ago. This isn’t about that, to me this season is about making us at least look like a coherent group, that we can continue to build on.

Quite frankly we’re miles away from even being considered anything close to resembling a team with an idea of what to do, it’s been 11 players on the pitch, nothing more.

This is by no means a slight against Brentford or Brighton, but overall our squad is well and truly better, yet we don’t look like it. For all the trudged football that Newcastle play, at least they’re not leaking goals.

No I’m sure he could and should have made subs while sitting in the dugout. But he clearly wasn’t well enough to be there
And thats the thing with Conte

He has tried to get back from a gall bladder operation maybe 2 or 3 weeks early because he does care but for me an extended break i think would've done him the world of good.

Stellini is more than capable of doing the day to day stuff while he recovers.

He's hard to look at though

And don’t think I’m blaming Conte to back Levy.
Levy has held us back for years but for me that’s a whole separate issue and one and I’m far from saying it’s all contes fault.
Too many key people at our club that just don’t care.

We continue with 3 CB's despite this undoubtedly being the weakest part of the squad.
What do you want us to do? Play with 2 CBs? So we can concede 7 instead of 4?

The argument against 3 CBs is that we're not creative enough in attack, while in reality it's the defence that is letting us down time and time again.

Romero is a good CB. Sure, he has weaknesses, but so does every CB in the Premier League.

The others are genuinely bottom of the table/ Championship quality. They'd struggle to start for Palace.

Yep, 3 CB’s is his system. It’s like asking Pep to play Stoke hump it up ball. If the club isn’t going to provide the most important part of his system then why hire him. We hire managers then expect them to throw away their system and run a new one because we haven’t bought what is needed. It’s honestly cowboy Harry Half-job territory.

Poch changed his formations constantly, tactically he'd change loads and loads of stuff in-game (go 4-4-2/4-2-3-1/4-14-1/3-5-2-2, whatever) sometimes it paid off others it didn't. But between the two scenarios, I'd rather be the team on the ball and struggle to break down the oppo camped on the edge of their box than be the team without the ball struggling to get out of our own half.
Exactly!

Those Poch formation changes gave us the Son LWB moments, the Vorm against Palace disasterclass, the 3-0 against Brighton etc. Love Poch, but the other side of the extreme is just as bad as the stubborness of Conte.

Ironically I do actually think Levy cares to a degree, but not at the expense of financial pragmatism. I appreciate the mismanagement of transfer funds is at odds with that, but it is a fact we have spunked £500m over the last four years. Literally and figuratively. He is sanctioning attempts to make us competitive, it's just it was on the wrong players.

He doesn't give a shit about the club. He wants to be sacked so he can say it wasn't his fault.

He is not Tottenham
Defo all about money his doing f all management since his been here. Without sun and Kane last season and Kane this season his tactics would be relegation. What revolutionary tactics , coaching , player development has he implemented. His just picking up his money doing f all to earn it along with a plethora of Italian staff his bought along. I mean our free kicks our awful yet his bought in a set piece specialist. Bollocks.
If he was sacked just image the uplift of poch came into to take raining tmrw!

All elite managers are stubborn for us. Modern elite managers have an ideal of what they want. This isn’t the days of Fergie/Redknapp where the manager adapted more to the players.

Stubbornness comes from not having the right players for the specific system. If the club is insistent on this then don’t hire an elite manager, get an Eddie Howe type to work with what is given.
