José Mourinho:

I’ve been smiling for two days. First of all I do it with a bit of sadness, I have to speak about Mauricio.

I have to congratulate him on the incredible job he did. I share with you what we shared inside. This club will always be his home, this training ground his training ground. He is always welcome here.

Tomorrow is another day. He will find happiness soon. He will give everything like he did at this club. He will leave with sadness with the feeling that he did great work. It is what everyone at the club felt.

I thought about it during these months because I thought I might get a job mid-season and I might have a game two days later.

We have our own ways but they were in the hands of a good manager and coaching staff here.

I’m not going to make the same mistakes. I’m going to make new mistakes. I’m going to be stronger.

From an emotional point of view I’m relaxed, motivated and ready and I think the players felt that these two days. I’m ready and I’m here to support them. In life you go through periods like this, where it’s not about myself, it’s about my players and my club.

When I don’t win I’m not happy. I cannot change that. If you are happy by losing football matches, it’s difficult to be a winner in any moment of your career. But the emotional control to keep the self esteem and confidence and in those around you is very important.

I think I am Mr. Porto and Mr. Real Madrid and other clubs as well, I am whatever club I am at. I wear the pyjamas of the club and sleep in them. I am a club man, but I am a many club man.

I was always humble. The problem was that you didn’t understand that. I was always humble but it was in my way.

The best gift are the players who are here. I don’t need new players. I just need to get to know these ones better. I know them well but you never know them well enough until you meet them.

I told the players I came here because of them. I tried to buy some for different clubs and some I didn’t even try because you know how difficult it was.

Of course I will try to add details, and sometimes details can make the difference. Progressively we can arrive to a fingerprint. The style of play must be adaptive to the club culture and also the players here.

We can’t win the Premier League this season. Next season, I’m not saying we will win it, but we can win it.

An in season appointment for Ten Haag was never on the cards. First, consider how much we would have had to pay Ajax to release him from his contract. Second, he’s very much playing the ‘Ajax system’ which is not something a manager can implement when they’re playing games every 4 days like we do at this time of year. He does appear to be a talented manager, let’s not forget he also bungled the semifinal when 3-0 up.

I'm not going to complain about this cunt being hired.

But the moment we lose a few and he stops shaving his beard and combing his hair, ditches the suits for tracksuits and starts fights with the tea lady like the toxic prat he is you Jose in fuckers are getting cunted off.
