You'd agree it doesn't help when 4 or 5 of your first team don't want to play for the club? The squad is stale and bereft of motivation.
You right about the responsibility being shared, but when the rot starts at the top, the very top, it dont really help in the long term if it's only addressed half way down.

What's sad about all this is when a few of us predicted the current collapse when Levy turned his back on Poch and the team last year, we predicted Poch would be the one people vented their anger against, Even though, at the time, Poch enjoyed so much universal popularity and was loved so much the idea of the fans turning against him seemed absurd.

Well. Here we are folks.
Give it up man.

Levy is maybe responsible for not giving Toby £180k per week for a new contract. He maybe responsible for similar with CE and Jan. doesn’t the fact they’ve played like shit this season not prove him right?

Is Levy responsible for still playing them despite their terrible form? You’d have it that he’s got a gun to Poch’s head growling “play the shit players in a shit formation as I want our team to fail”.

Is it Levy’s fault that he shelled out tens of millions on three signings in summer? One of whom can play wonderfully well and find himself dropped the next match. Another who apparently will never be match fit. Another who appears permanent injured.

Is it Levy’s fault that the manager never rotates some players and never used others?

Levy has been nothing but good for this club. Poch is stubborn and has lost his mystique.

A scapegoat & then when the new manager takes over it will be all his fault.

Pretty ironic because I can see the Poch In crowd having the knives out from the second he’s hired.

Already heard there is NOBODY better that we can get, meaning that whoever we do get, certain people have already decided he’s a downgrade.

I think there will be some true colours shown if we get off to a losing start under a new manager, with the “real fanz” getting all giddy about how they were “right” about Poch and wanking one off about ENIC failing.

Then if we get off to a flier, it will simply be that he inherited Pochs team and the squad is suddenly amazing again and Poch did it.

1 trophy in 18 years is good is it?

When really under enic, If the new manager is here for 18 years & wins us a league cup then it's been a success. Roll on 2037!

So you honestly don’t think we’ve progressed as a club under ENIC because we haven’t won trophies?

Were you honestly dead against any of the managerial appointments that ENIC have made?

Especially thinking of the present incumbent. Was Poch the wrong man to employ?
A few yeah but that's not really the point.
They are the employers, they take some credit for our progress in the league from when they took over, surely they must take some of the blame for 99% of managers that they employed not winning anything.
If not then they can't take credit for anything that happens on the pitch.

They appointed Poch in the hope he could achieve regular CL football on a budget dwarfed by our competitors. He did that consistently and ahead of schedule.
Poch's aspirations then grew, but Levy's didn't, so now we're in the situation we find ourselves in today.
So I think Levy is now in a quandry.
He realises his best bet is hoping Poch turns things around and gets us fighting in the top 6 or 7 for the next few seasons while a gradual rebuild gets underway.
I think he realises the cost of building this team into immediate CL contenders again outweighs the cost of missing out on top 4.
Therefore, he'll hold on to Poch as long as possible.
He knows there's no chance of attracting the likes of Pep, Klopp ,Mourinho or any other serial winners, so I think he's written off this season and the next couple as well.
In fact, that could explain Pochs current demeanour. He knows he's safe.
if we're ready to dump on Eriksen for disappearing in the past year (after the great years he gave us) then Poch is also in line to get blamed for half a season of weird management decisions. (He gets a pass up to May 19 on account of the constant injury issues)

Every time you bring this up (once a week) you are told by people that our goals 15 years ago were not the same as today.

So the managers up until now have improved us, by and large, bar Ramos ( who at least won a cup) and AVB.

Even Poch improved us.

Now it’s time to improve again and reach that fabled next level.
Some people believe Poch is not the man to do that anymore despite him being a good appointment and doing a good job for 4 and half seasons.

Wanting to win trophies under Jol or Harry, doesn’t make any of the above void.
