S. Shashoua put Spurs in front but Red Bull’s quick counterattack’s saw them take a 3-1 lead. Sterling pulled a goal back from the spot but the.brazilians held out for the win.

Looks like we compete for 3rd/4th play off, which will be either versus Werder Bremen or Fulham

That's a shame! Samuel has been on fire in this tournament. Pleased for him after what has been a frustrating injury hit campaign for our very own David Silva.

I thought Ireland u17 match on Monday was going to be televised, but if not UEFA say there will be streams - good chance to see Parrott.

England will also be on stream, but unusually there is no Spurs interest !

#U17EURO streams, highlights

Quarter-finals:

Sunday 13 May
Italy v Sweden: 15:00
Norway v England: 19:00

Monday 14 May
Belgium v Spain: 14:00
Netherlands v Republic of Ireland: 20:00

Looks like our u16's/u15's are showing their superiority, usually the matches are a closer result than this ! (nb. also shows how difficult it is to predict u16/u15's line ups, even though we could claim to have guessed about 9 out of the 14 in the squad !)

Looks like 5 x u16's (Cirkin, White, Binks, Cooper, Asante ) 6 x u15's (Lo Tutala, Muir, Whittaker, Cisse, Munn, Robson) and 3 u14's (or triallists ?) on the bench

HT Ipswich 0 - 3 Spurs
Goals from Arjunah Crighton and Enoch Asante (2).

2nd half :
Arjunah Crighton with the 4th for Spurs
Chay Cooper with the 5th for Spurs
Dennis Cirkin with the 6th for Spurs

Timi Lo Tutala saves a penaly for Spurs but Ipswich score from the rebound to make it Ipswich 1 - 6 Spurs which proved to be the final score

Looking forward to DerryLennon DerryLennon 's report on the game and opinions on the players

Started off the tournament well enough in the group stages.....

Spurs lost to Werder Bremen 2-0. There coach must have told his players to get to grips with Spurs after the run around in the last game. It looked like they were playing rugby.

Cheers mate. There was quite a few errors on the teamsheet. Arjunah Crighton was in fact J'Neil Bennett whilst Muir was number 5. Also there are two numbers of players completley missing off the sheet.

Troy Parrott's goal against Netherlands - incidentally after a great build up by Ireland - with the commentator in no doubt about his assessment of Parrott. Worth pointing out that he's probably one of the youngest of the u17's, probably playing a year up.

With Parrott, Richards (who scored a decent number of goals last season although outshone by Griffiths) and Asante all coming though, we seem to have a very decent set of young strikers, so although Griffiths going will be a loss, we do seem to have decent cover - although a bit of an age gap between these strikers and Sterling.

Keanan Bennetts off to Gladbach.

A real shame.
Gonna happen more and more. The BL clubs are targeting English youth players hard, especially from the top teams. Because they can offer what we cannot, namely regular playing time in a competitive/high level league.

Sancho was the first drip in a tsunami of young English players spreading their wings in Europe it seems

It'll only be good for the English game and the national team too (Although Bennetts is eligible for Germany too)

Lookman had a very successful loan spell at Leipzig and it could even mean he now gets his chance at Everton next season.
