My interpretation is that this rule came into effect to eliminate countless stutters in the run-upWHICH IS ALLOWED! "Feinting in the run-up is permitted" It actually says this in print, how can there possibly be any different interpretation?

What would constitute a “legal feint” then?
Presumably you can zig zag your way at a snails pace or do cartwheels up to the ball as long as it’s continuous?
That’s the bit I don’t get.
Maybe I’m missing the point entirely? Wouldn’t be the first time.
you know what I realise I have just taken the answer i want to be true (fake news) and used it loads --- just trying to back it up and all sources are US so there is that.Is the 2004 USSF memo acknowledged by FIFA as the definitive answer?
Even if the decisions are right there's no place for it. Can't stop start a game that's designed to flow.It doesnt work. If a panel can sit there for 5 minutes watching in slow motion several times, and still get three decisions wrong, there is no place for it.
I was able to predict a bit bc I saw the 1st leg. Indulge me on your ignore option if it bothers you. Stop quoting me so often
Where does it say that? Please show me.My interpretation is that this rule came into effect to eliminate countless stutters in the run-up
I never said feinting is not permitted - I'm arguing stopping your run is no longer allowed. What's your problem pal?Where does it say that? Please show me.
What part of this sentence actually writing in the laws of the game supports your interpretation? "feinting to kick the ball once the kicker has completed the run-up (feinting in the run-up is permitted).
Just compare this shit-show to the introduction of goal line technology, when everyone basically turned to each other and said "I can't believe we didn't do this sooner".
this was shown earliermate at hawkeye wasn't enjoying the banter this morning – thinks the ref was a moron and isn't doing them any favours. Apparently it's working well within the Dutch Football League, although if it works there why doesn't it work here?
the way the offside law is now not sure how tech can judge if you are interfering or not.Indeed.
Can't we just apply a similar process/tech to offsides and leave the rest be? ....Bonus being it'd free up the ref/linos to focus on the less linear, behaviour-based decisions too.
Haha I've no problem because in the laws of the game there is nowhere where it says stopping your run is not allowed. I would have a problem I think if I imagined that the laws said that you weren't allowed to stop your run-up. If you can show me this law that says you can't stop your run-up I concede I'm wrong.I never said feinting is not permitted - I'm arguing stopping your run is no longer allowed. What's your problem pal?
Rules refer to illegal fainting. Do one, palHaha I've no problem because in the laws of the game there is nowhere where it says stopping your run is not allowed. No not really.Drop the persecution complex mate.... I have not replied to anything you have posted for a long time...
My initial post was mild humour and non-personal.... You came back 'swinging' with some name-calling.
Maybe YOU should put ME on ignore instead.... Or better still:
Get over yourself, you silly boy.
It's fan culture to scream and shout at a ref, at the game it's our job to be the 12th man, to think we might put pressure on the ref's for a penalty, to sing about their decisions. All this is ok, all this will remain (should remain), nothing changes, juts as it's always been. But don't confuse this a a cry for VAR, it's not, nor never has been, it's the pantomime of football culture, it's home advantage, it's fun. I've done it ever since I was a kid, I still do it. But I don't want VAR.Then never bring up Nani's goal again or any other instance where we've been screwed over by the refs. Shocking
