Looks like it's going to be the toughest it's been in years for us. Drawing today (As well as many other poorly dropped points) has left us potentially 5 points off fourth place if Liverpool beat rock bottom Swansea tomorrow.

Next three gameweeks:

TOTTENHAM
Man Utd (H)
Liverpool (A)
Woolwich (H)

LIVERPOOL
Huddersfield (A)
Tottenham (H)
Southampton (A)

CHELSEA
Bournemouth (H)
Watford (A)
West Brom (H)

MAN UTD
Tottenham (A)
Huddersfield (H)
Newcastle (A)

After today's disappointing draw, I think we need at least 7 points from the next 3 matches if we want to have a serious chance of finishing in the top-four. A tall order, but doable with Toby back in the team.

This turd finished 2nd last season, 3rd the season before. The quality is there, if we gain the level of consistency we have in the last couple of years then we will finish top 4 .
The teams that we are competing against all got stronger. We didn't. Thats why Poch was pleading for backing last summer. And thats why a comfortable 2nd place is now looking like becoming Thursday nights in the Europa league again. Poch is miracle worker, but can only do it for so long

Sir Alex used to own the league season in season out yet he always bought world class player every summer to keep his best player on their toes. Most players become complacent if they lack competition .

Maybe Poch could learn a thing or two here.

Are you arguing we spend £100m on a player and pay them £400k a week? You realise we aren't in that bracket yet, right?

The squad is stronger than it was last season and there is little difference between the top 5 sides bar City. Poch was backed in the summer, we signed Sanchez, Aurier and Llorente. He has one of the best squads in the league and we are not performing to our previous standards or to the levels are are capable of. Adding more players to the mix doesn’t alter that. The signings we will make will unlikely be starters, we unable to sign players on a level of a Kane, Ali, Eriksen and Son so this clamour for more is bizzare. If the team isn’t performing then it is competely irrelevant who we bring in because nothing will change.

He rarely bought World class players in, he typically brought in up and coming players and turned them into World Class players. He was able to achieve such success because he happened to be the games greatest managers. And besides drawing a comparison between our capacity and theirs is somewhat foolhardy.

Not to forget that Ferguson had a team full of winners.

We have a team that will end up being lucky to win half of what John O'Shea won.
