Son having a brilliant game today.

We need to make Harry Kane a part of our attacks. He spends huge chunks of most games as a passenger, waiting for a pass that never comes. Most of our one on ones fall to Son. Why?

Yep. Can't take too many step overs. Make an angle and whip it in quickly. Now and again he can have a shot but do that quickly too. Need to catch them on the counter it seems otherwise they will defend with everyone

We've been far far too slow in possession the majority of the half - wouldn't be against Winks coming on for Dembele or Wanyama to be honest.

We need both in the middle against this lot in my opinion.....feels like every cunt has watched the Wycombe game for inspiration before they play us

Kane been VERY quiet. Offers nothing in games like this to be honest except hoping to get on the end of a loose ball in the box. Son has been brilliant.

Well, you just pass quicker really. Us slowing the play down constantly doesn't do anything but help Middlesbrough.

Case in point that break at the end. Kane took far too long and then just cut in and lost it.

Yes and no. Over the history of the game, well organised defensive football has tended to prevail when it comes to winning things. It takes visionaries like Arthur Rowe, and the pioneers of Total Football to develop a way of playing which can actually prevail vs parking the bus sides.

Tottenham have played well, they have passed quickly, no-one is playing badly - it's just when you come up against super-defensive units like this, it is incredibly difficult to break them down. But if you get that goal, the dynamic completely changes.

I agree. Chambers is shit. We just need somebody to go straight at him. Since Rose is out, that leaves Son.

Yeah but how often have we had the ball in a wide area one v one or around the edge of the box? Countless - need to take these positions and be more dynamic to create goalscoring opportunities.
