I have visited Tripolis in the Pelopenese a good decade ago . A country town , dusty non
Descript . A good base for Spurs fans of culture to explore Ancient Olympia , the Kalamata
Region birth place of Maria Callas , stunning landscape and the best olives and oil in the
world. Then beyond is the Mani peninsula , a rugged wild land , never conquered home of
Blood feuds and desendents of the Ancient Spartans. Naupfilion would be my base,
the first capital of modern Greece , a picture book town.
Bon Vovage .
