Dumb question time...
Is it possible to watch the U16 and U18 teams?
Yes, the training ground is open to the public for U18 games. I don't think it technically is for U16 games, but they play in the same place at the same time, so you can go and watch.

Next home game is next Saturday. U18 and U16 fixtures usually align, so both will be playing against the same team at the same time, on adjacent pitches.

I was at the game tonight. KWP, Harrison and Winksy justified their reputations. All three them looked the part.
I wasn't overly impressed with the standard of football but I did like the look of the young Will Miller.
He's small, the same size as Alex Pritchard but he carries the ball well. Anton Walkes impressed at CB.
Not sure what Lesniak is doing at the back. I think KWP was the only natural defender in the team but that
is doing a disservice to Walkes. With about six minutes to go a mountain came on to the pitch. That mountain
was Christian Maghoma. My life he's a big boy for his age. Didn't see enough of him to pass any judgment.

Are we going to need to sign a CDM for back up to Dier? More excited by the fact we could yet promote from within than sign someone up.

TOTTENHAM youngster Dominic Ball has admitted he will consider another Rangers loan spell in the summer.

The young defender has featured 25 times for the Scottish Championship side this season after joining in August to gain crucial first-team experience.

Rangers manager Mark Warburton suggested the 20-year-old will return to White Hart Lane when the campaign comes to an end, having already sealed promotion to the Premiership.

But the 20-year-old believes he could benefit from another loan spell at the Ibrox as he doubts he's ready to compete for a spot in Mauricio Pochettino's first team.

And the centre-half, who can also double up as a defensive midfielder, says he consider his options in the off-season.

“I love the lads here, and the manager, and I’d definitely be open to coming back here,” Ball told the Rangers website. “But it’s down to Spurs and the manager there.

"I’ll have to see what the options are and what the manager at Spurs wants. I’m contracted with them and I keep in touch with them every couple of weeks.

“The manager down there has built a really good squad and a strong mentality to the team. Because of that, it’s encouraging to know that if I do stay down there, I’ve got to push really hard to get in that team and he’ll develop me as a player.

“But I haven’t been there so I don’t know the standard. We’re talking about three or four world-class players playing at centre-back and holding-mid.

Mark Warburton suggest Dominic Ball will return to Tottenham for next season
"I’m probably not ready to go in there, but I’ll push. I believe in myself to see what happens.

“Spurs will be in the Champions League. Whether I’m involved or not in that, just being around it would be great.

"I don’t think you can ever say ‘yes I’m ready’ or ‘no I’m not ready’. You can be confident and give it everything.

“But I also know playing under the gaffer and David Weir at Rangers means I’ll improve.

"The standard here is very good and I think I’ve improved up to now, but obviously I’m still looking to improve more.”

Unfortunately the lad picked up a yellow so will miss the final v Hibs (and a head to head v the new Dave McKay, aka John McGinn)

I didn't watch but the match reports say that Rangers completely out passed Celtic, playing a good brand of "high energy pressing football".

Hmmm. Where else have I heard that about a team?

Fuck, sure SausageVince SausageVince will say that Ball deliberately got himself booked so he wouldn't have to face Big John McGinn!

Indeed, fear manifests itself in so many ways.

I like our relationship with rangers. They are a brutally vicious bunch of fans but it's great for our youngsters to get first team football in a high octane environment like Ibrox.

Also, Rangers are currently playing good quality football. Unlike that rotten lot at Leicester

We saw what happened with Oduwa, he got kicked off the park just for daring to be a bit tricky. Hopefully the experience will have hardened him up.
Oduwa seemed to lose his place. He has quality though. I hope he breaks through to our first team soon.

I don't agree with the stereotype of the Scottish game as being simply rough. There are lots of examples of skilful players flourishing in Scotland.

Di Canio
Petrov
McGinn
Mols
Gazza
Laudrup
Cannigia
Ronald de boer
McFadden
Naismith
Maloney
Ryan Gauld
Stevie May

And that was a time when Scottish football was still relevant in the 90s. Look at it now, Championship quality at best. There was a time you would find plenty of quality hard nut Scots in the Football League 1st Division and part of the early days of the Premier League. You look at the Scots in the PL now, Charlie 'fuckface' Adam, relegated Alan 'Scottish Cafu' Hutton, Steven 'relegation fight' Naismith. McGinn is probably going to be no better than when Barry Ferguson left Rangers for Blackburn.
