Age Category

All eligible players shall belong to the following age category:

Each squad will consist of a maximum 18 players. All players must be born on or after January 1st 1993 although 3 players are allowed in the squad who are born on or after January 1st 1992. Only two of these three players born on ar after January 2nd 1992 are allowed to play at any one time. The inclusion of the 3 older players is an ‘option’ for each participating club and not a stipulation.

Lancaster was born 5th November 1992 so would have to be an overage player. Seems to me the club has avoided having any over-age players in order to avoid last year's debacle. Ceballos also just misses out as he's born 3rd December 1992. Every other professional who qualifies for this tournament is going as are all 2nd and 3rd year academy scholars except for Darren McQueen for some reason, although Jack Munns is listed twice on the NextGen site so that could be McQueen.

Darren McQueen has now been added, born 8th May 1995 (17).

Also the age rules are a year out on the nextgen site as they were exactly the same a year ago which would not make sense.

This means the following are over-age players and only 3 can be in the squad with 2 on the pitch at one time.

Archer, Miles, Vigouroux, Barthram, Ekong, Stewart, Munns, Pritchard & Kane.

There is one name that I thought would be there that is not: Aaron McEneff who recently joined us from Northern Ireland. He is either 16 or 17 so I'm not sure if he is a 1st or 2nd year scholar.

No idea. The official site can't fucking decide who is a professional and who is an academy player. Changes daily.

Milos Veljkovic (16), Nabil Bentaleb (17) and Souleymane Coulibaly (17) have all appeared on the Spurs website now as professionals so add them to the list above.

Oh no, wait another fucking change on the Spurs website. Veljkovic is now a 1st year scholar, Bentaleb a 2nd year one. Coulibaly remains in the professionals list whilst Ekong drops back down to being a 3rd year scholar and Dombaxe a 2nd year scholar.

Tune in next week for further fuckups and maybe a sign of Fryers and Hall.

Re: Loans & Development Squad thread

Ryan Fredericks has joined League One side Brentford on loan for the season.

Re: Loans & Development Squad thread

I'm delighted that this league / competition has been set up. We showed a lot of promise in the Next Gen tournament, hopefully we can push on and develop some of these players into first teamers....and then be the next Barcelona.

We will play host to Barcelona at White Hart Lane in next season's NextGen Series.

We are in Group A of the European competition for Under-21s and face Barca in our second match, scheduled for a 7pm kick-off on Thursday, September 13..
