I think you're lying!
Are you telling me you're not gonna watch the match, or listen to it on the radio, or turn off all forms of media that might tell you the score tonight... and only casually happen across the final result in the papers TOMORROW morning! When you might utter a casual 'pffft' regardless of the result??
I think not...

Listen, there's nothing to be ashamed of... it's OK to care about this game... it doesn't make you a small time pikey... it makes you a fan of Tottenham Hotspur who actually cares about our games... go on, treat yourself... follow the game tonight with as much verve and passion as if you actually cared!

We all do!

I think I need to clarify...obviously I care about the fucking match and winning 3 points.

What I don't give a flying fuck about is west ham. End of.

I'd take as much pleasure from 3 points against West Brom!

I think cretinous goat just meant that he doesn't attach any special significance to the opposition beyond just beating them and getting three points. Against people like Woolwich there is a significant emotional edge to the game.
I kind of agree....play Swansea and I wanna win and I want 3 points and I'll watch the game and get excited etc but don't get that nervous edge and sense of triumph like I do Vs Woolwich.
It's a bit like early rounds of a cup where it's good to go thru but lacks the buzz of a semi or a final

Exactly what I meant. Thank you sir

A game no more significant to me than a game against Swansea. 3 points a must. But west ham are a minnow club who I do not care a stuff about.

Our rivals? Fuck off are they!
Obviously the rivalry is more one-sided... but the fact they choose to hiss Nazi Gas chambers at us, and sing 'Viva Lazio' (for some reason) adds an extra incentive to beat them that, i'm sorry... I just don't get when it's West Brom or Swansea...

soweeee for caring!

Totally good point and I get it but West ham I don't really consider true rivals. Do the media seem to hype it more in the last five or six years than previously?

There are 2 types of rivals. The teams near us in the league are rivals for position. The second kind are the clubs that are geographically near us. Woolwich and Chelsea fall into both categories and Spammers just the second. However if you live anywhere near london then you will probably know a fan of most London teams and thus it matters more when you beat them and is horrible when you lose to them. Spammers have beaten us in the League cup and in 2 important away matches over the past couple of years and we need to win this one. If I had a choice it is more important to beat Woolwich or Chelsea but I would rather beat Spammers than say swansea.

Yes. It was another London derby in the 90’s. I recall bigger coverage before a match with the old Wimbledon. I think it became bigger as more Spurs moved into old West Ham areas and a lot of our support coming from the Harlow area in the tip of Essex

This has always been a tasty local derby. When I was young it was one of my favourites and the atmosphere is usually very good. I know a few spammers and they’re fucking annoying as football fans. We really need to bury this shit club. I do care and I hate them with a passion. Hoping for a powerful, physical midfield and then Dele and Harry to work their magic. FOYI.

Different team under Moyes. Out of bottom 3 now. I'd like to see them release tbh after fucking everyone over that cheap stadium. Unfortunately I reckon a draw. Carroll again,!

The lads should know how to approach this one after the disappointment of the cup result. That mob are gonna be bang up for it and with moyes in charge they will make it double frustrating for us. Were gonna have to dig deep and use our physical power and for the full 90 odd minutes. No taking the foot off the gas.

Kane to net his first goals for 2018

3-0 COYS!
