Our goal was helped by Dier pushing up into midfield which I haven't seen under Conte before
Yes, we had 6 players up there at that point and went 4v4 in defence, moved up as a team as we pushed them back and then sprung the trap when they played the wrong pass. Excellent bit of play and totally worked on in training.

People moan about Conte and his lack of tactics but when he has a fit and firing squad they are very well drilled and hard to beat.

He's also accused of not having a plan b but not many managers genuinely do - just ask Pep who doesn't seem to adapt at all.

Don't give a shit about the '3rd top scorers in the league' thing, 12 of those have come from corners anyway.

Must be at least 5-10 games this season where we haven't even tested the opposition keeper. The Villa and Woolwich home performances were too pathetic for words.

Tonight should be the last chance for this thoroughly shit formation and setup.

Sheffield hung tough long enough for us to tire and slacken, and then took advantage in an all-too familiar fashion.

Spurs were terrible in attack. Playing all of Son, Lucas and Richarlison together was creative suicide. We can maybe afford only have 1 creative player on the pitch, but having none is lethal for us.

Perisic and Porro weren't set up to provide service enough. Son, Richy and Lucas all are undependable providers of it, and didn't surprise any of us with their performances today.

The subs came too late, and replaced the wrong players. Son should have been the first one hauled off, but somehow played the whole match. Danjuma came on far too late. Replacing the RWB (?) instead of Son was bizarre.

It's ultra-conservative dinosaur ball, and not even effective in its dullness.

Not sure if their is a thread about the tactics used in the game

Today we seemed more compact and if you use Sofascore it was very much a 352/442 with Kane & Son uptop central, when Richarlison came on it was the same according to the heat maps

Thoughts on Harvey White staying this year? I think he could actually be a good fit for Ange’s inverted Leftback role. Hopefully he is on the plane to Australia
