2014-15 squad numbers announced 14 August 2014 - News - tottenhamhotspur.com

I'm all for a 1 to 11 line-up so I'm stoked that Hugo is finally getting number 1 although young Ben would have been more suited to 13 in my opinion. Holtby or Eriksen to get number 10 eventually would be nice as well.

I like the idea of a 1-11 starting line up, but we would have some fucked up team.

Lloris
Walker, Kaboul, Chiriches, Vertonghen, Rose
Paulinho
Lennon, Lamela
Soldado, Adebayor

Holtby changes to 4 (Kaboul leaves)
Eriksen changes to 10 (Adebayor leaves)

1 - Lloris
2 - Walker
6 - Chiriches
5 - Vertonghen
3 - Rose
8 - Paulinho
4 - Holtby
11 - Lamela
10 - Eriksen
7 - Lennon
9 - Soldado

Two changes and it sort of works.. Not our best line-up, not at all necessary and I'm not sure I want Kaboul to leave..

You're old school 4 midfielder, I'm more 6 and 8 is central mid, 4 and 5 central defence

Nah, it could kinda work.

[formation=352, Lloris, Kaboul, Chiriches, Vertonghen, Walker, Lennon, Paulinho, Lamela, Rose, Adebayor, Soldado][/formation]

A bit weak defensively in the middle of the park, but defence is boring anyway.

Or:
[formation=343, Lloris, Walker, Kaboul, Chiriches, Lennon, Vertonghen, Paulinho, Rose, Lamela, Adebayor, Soldado][/formation]

Plenty of opportunities here.

Looks like the team Sherwood picked for Chelsea away

not wanting ot read too much into it, but I cant help thinking that the current player numbers system reflects the shift from club to player in terms of focus. Players are no longer doing a job for a club, 1-11 and they fit into their position at the club and on the field. Its now all about them. I'm number 23 and my names Bob Carolgees, forget about the badge its number 23, Carolgees, 23, B.O.B, whats that, your daughter is 23 - no shes fuckin not, I'm 23 - she can be 23 if she pays me. Speak to my agent. buy my socks theyve got 23 on the side.

15 probably, it's what he had in Lisbon. Shouldn't really pay attention to numbers in pre season. Bale had like 4 different ones before he settled on 11 that one Summer I think.

...yeah, Bale had more like 85 million numbers!! greedy glory-hunting fucker... why couldn't he stick around with US a while longer for Europa League football, rather than 'plumping' for Champions League & Super Cup glory within 12 months of setting foot in Madrid!

Left the kids to the font of all knowledge WindyCOYS WindyCOYS *Kane will be our starting forward*
Interesting and depressing breakdown . I agree with most of it except I'd shift Holtby and Kane to the "unproven" group. They need a go with some proper coaching and team structure. Kane looks okay to me and Holtby needs direction and discipline.
