Madrid wouldn't sell him to Sevilla. Lopetegui insisted on having him and Perez said no. Don't change facts to suit the narrative. He was dreadful tonight, but, just like Bergwijn, he's been a victim of dreadful coaching.

Or just maybe neither are very good in the first place.

If Reguilon was ever this world-beater of a left-back you're trying to make him out to be he wouldn't have signed for us, and certainly not for 35 million.

I'm of this mindset. We're such a mess right now that so many of the players should be given a fresh slate next year (no, I don't extend that to Winks or Sissoko, fuck).

Here's a nice distraction:

That he is saying???

He was voted the La Liga LB of the season. It isn't just him saying he is a talented player.

But once again when you hate a player you have to go to extremes to demonize them. Hopefully when we are done we can rid ourselves of all the talent on the team and be left with nothing but cloggers who can't pass a ball but run really hard!

He runs really fast and sometimes crosses the ball well. Thats all . Has no defending brain. Constantly gets tricked by opposite players, falls over with the slightest touch and zero composure when pressed. Not that much of an improvement at all on Davies for 35million!

He does not seem comfortable in his own half when the game is moving as fast as he does, which is rare in Spain, but the normal flow of the game in England.

He's no more sloppy or calamity prone than Kyle Walker once was though. Get him a real coach. We have far bigger problems.

Let’s ignore the own goal for a second (as bad as it was), the error for the second goal was the same mistake twice inside a few seconds. I don’t understand how someone could be that stupid.

He doesn't look the brightest lamp in his street to begin with.

Don't blame coaching on what he did tonight. It was almost purposeful it was that bad.

the worrying thing is, they all try play out from the back but none of them are good enough to actually do it. doesnt help when your midfield is useless cunt winks and PEH. at least gio and ndombele have the ability to get out of there with the ball.

Who cares if he was in the team of the season. He isn't of that quality anymore is he. If he put some effort in he wouldn't be this bad. No sympathy for players that don't even put the work in

A defender that can't defend is what we see in game after game.
It is always said by idiots on here that the players are badly coached.
Maybe they are not very good players after all and very few coaches in the world would get a tune out of well over 50% of our squad.

Yeah, and Dele Alli was among the best young players in the world 5 years ago. I'll judge on what he does in a Spurs shirt, and for the majority, he's looked hopeless at times.

He's still better than Davies, if only for the fact he gives us some options going forward down the left flank. There's obviously room for improvement defensively but that can come with time and better coaching.

People slagging him have to be realistic, we don't exactly have Roberto Carlos ready to come in and replace him and we have bigger priorities to address.

Plus his bird is fucking fit as so that's worth keeping him on for in my book.

Started the season really well but really poor recently.

To say he is shit is too simplistic because for the 1st half of the season he was great.

Recently though he's been defending awfully and falling on his ass too much. Today was just a capitulation from him.

He's still decent tho and better than Davies.
