FWIW, Kangaroos don't drag the dogs off to water, the roo just runs there to hide. If the dog chases them, they'll push it under and hold it to scare it. If they persist, they'll eventually drown it. The kangaroo's only native predator are Dingoes (much tougher than the average dog, but roos aren't checking IDs).
