There's no hurry to do anything with Kane. You've got up to the winter transfer window to see if Postecoglou can take Spurs anywhere. If it doesn't look like it, then you move Kane on. If there's any shot at Champion's League you keep him on the idea that the revenue you get from Champion's League offsets the loss of Kane leaving on a free. And there's a chance your bargaining position improves because Bayern and Manchester United could move on to another target. Given his age, Kane has the most to lose in terms of an injury or a decline in his game. Spurs don't have nearly as much to lose by keeping him until the winter transfer deadline.
