Yes it was awful! So monotonous and dull. It was like he didn't want to be there.

Other co-commentators are bad too but it doesn't excuse it does it.

while his delivery wasn't great, he was a bit insightful, I blame the Beeb for throwing him in for probably the biggest game of the World Cup, should have eased him in.

part of the problem is him sounding a bit like his brother - but just a much more boring version and with less interesting insights and opinions

You have the main guy who just shouts names in varying degrees of excitement, and then a guy who actually knows some stuff to give a more reasoned insight....

I thought he was a tad monotone maybe, but people complaining to the BBC about his performance are just being silly.

my problem was he wouldn't shut up. any gap in commentary he'd talk. Some people are just like that. I'm happy to put it donw to a bit of nerves on the his part, however I've always thought the cunt looks like he's on the spectrum.
