Hugo Lloris deals Man United huge blow as he discusses Tottenham future

The French international has been touted as a possible replacement for David De Gea, should he join Real Madrid.

However, the 28-year-old has discussed his hopes for the future with Tottenham, admitting silverware is the aim.

He said: "We always want a better season. We expect to improve as a team and to get the club as high as possible in the league.

"We also want to enjoy it as much as possible with our fans, to go far in cup competitions – that's always a good feeling – and to win trophies.

"The expectation is always the same and we work every day for the chance to win something."

And despite the club missing out on the top four and Champions League football, he admits he's impressed by the forward-thinking of the club.

He added: "In general it was a good season. There were some ups and downs but we had some great moments to remember.

"We were involved in four competitions until February and a lot of young players came through and started playing regularly for the team.

"This is massive because they represent the future of the club."

As we're playing a high line the ability to come off his line is paramount in our keeper and Neuer aside, I can't think of anyone better than Lloris. Add to that his top notch actual goalkeeping skills and I don't think there's anyone who could do as good a job for us as he does. If we were to sell him, for whatever price, we'd be downgrading.
