It doesn’t matter. He’s leaving this summer as he’s been told he won’t be getting a new contract.
He does not have to be a guaranteed starter. If we can rest Romero/VDV for 20 minutes it will make a big differnce. The fact is it will allow us more tactical flexibility and better squad depth that will help prepare us for being in Europe again next season.
