You don't go from a Golden boot season to a player who could hardly run or make the correct decision in the space of a year, something had to explain the drastic drop off - I reckon we will see a marked improvement in Sonny this season.

Cash in on him and go get Leao from Milan
I'm curious. How could you possibly know this?
I'd say it's a decent assessment. On the break when given time he is so dangerous. At the back end of contes season when he was on fire it was often fairly simple looking stuff but always picking the right optionI'm curious. How could you possibly know this?
Kind of insane how good he is, just passed Drogba and Ronaldo for PL goal totals.
If he has pretty standard 15 goal season, he’ll pass Giggs, Scholes, Crouch, Wright, Heskey, Gerrard.
Jackcock you disagree that he doesn’t take penalties? And he doesn’t take penalties. Makes it all the more underrated.
If he plays CF this season in this system, he’s not scoring less than 20 prem goalsKind of insane how good he is, just passed Drogba and Ronaldo for PL goal totals.

Yep. I don't think the Sonny of last season would have pulled off that cheeky dink. Conte's way stripped him of creativity and joy. It would have just gone straight at the goalie.Vaguely remember a son interview from last year where he basically said conte had told him not to shoot and to just get to the byline and cross. He was frustrated because shooting is probably the best part of his game - especially from the corner of the box. Just goes to show that allowing good attacking players a bit of freedom of expression as part of a proper tactical plan leads to good attacking football and goals. Who knew???
One of the best finishers of his generation. We're so lucky he stayed with us this whole time. I think the reason he's stayed with us is because we gave him a chance to play in the Premier league at a high level so he's grateful to the club and has stayed out of loyalty.
He could've easily gone to any other club if he wanted.
It is nice to see some loyalty left in football, especially on both ends. People talk about players like Gerrard,Totti and Maldini but it is easy to stay loyal when you've won a big trophy at your boyhood club. Son hasn't won at spurs and it isn't even his boyhood club either, he just genuinely wants to repay us for giving him a platform to succeed. He could've gone anywhere else and no one would begrudge him for it.Don’t forget that we were also the only club wiling to deal with the issue of his military service. We often allowed him to leave during the season to play in international tournaments and put a lot of trust in him despite a scenario where he could have had to take a two year sabbatical from football.
The club showed him great loyalty and he is repaying us.
My bad….. my brain agreed but my finger didn’t
