Carrol can't even get into the England squad even with the absence of Kane, Sturridge and Rooney.
Apparently:
"Southgate, as well as considering form and fitness, was also mindful about the potentially distractive influence the West Ham United striker might have behind the scenes"
"Distractive influence"? Does he do magic tricks or something?

It's season ticket renewal time. The spin masters are beginning to weave their magic.

:harrylol:

a senior source at West Ham said they would be one of the clubs who would try to sign Rooney- if they gave any indication they were letting him go.
When asked to comment how likely it was Rooney would become a West Ham player the source said " never say never"

What a lot of Bollocks

Even if they did sign Rooney it would be hilarious, he is over the hill, a 31 year old trapped in the body of a 45 year old and his wages are huge, they would cripple West Ham.

I don't think the deal is beyond belief, after all what board room would be best placed to provide a good OAP brass on the side. The porn barons could keep Rooney stocked till he is retired. I mean Brady could offer herself as part of the deal.

Jesus, don't the Clown Shoe Club ever learn? How many over the hill players will they sign or try to sign before the penny drops?
They were going mental because they pulled off signing of the century Jose Fonte a couple of months ago.. he's 34 and they all hate him already.
The list of players well past it is endless. They just make it so easy for us..

get a young fit hungry striker. Not a has been

Don't fret. If we're interested in Rooney it won't be a serious club's definition of "interested" it will be Sullivan's definition of "interested" i.e. a big name to throw around to look like the big man, sell season tickets to the gullible, etc in the full and certain knowledge that he won't have to shell out a penny on the player as Rooney will either have two dozen better options than us or the Mancs won't accept our £2.50 'bid'. Absolutely nothing to see here.

Rooney?.........is it season ticket time already?............Bert & Ernie really are a couple of predictable clowns

Some of them are cottoning on :levywhoa:

Also apparently want Defoe in the summer hoping to get him on a free.
Really taking them to the next level splashing out on young strikers and central defenders who they can build a team for the future around.

Defoe on a free, what a surprise.
If they could get Rooney on loan with manure paying 95% of his wages, their summer business would really have taken them to another level.

They really are a shit, small time no mark club, they don't even have ownership of their stadium, and the dream is to make the squad free transfers and loans.

One day they may make the massive step up to mediocrity, but I doubt it will happen under the current regime.

Despite it being classic G,S&B and a cheap option, i think Defoe would score goals for them.
Hopefully he tells them to do one after the way their fans have treated him,.
Can't see Rooney going there.he'll end up back at the Toffees, and i think a seasoned head in that side could take them further.

Defoe is not that really good in the air.
From what I have seen of them it's cross, long high ball, cross. Set piece. Most of their goals came from payet free kicks or crosses and Antonio on the end.
They will have to play a different way.

If I was Rooney I'd be off to th US. A nice few years in LA
Could Everton pay his wages. Will he be willing to take a big cut.
The only thing that may stop him is his kids.

If Defoe went they will go 4-4-2 with the Horseman (if they haven't sold him by then, which is what they actually want to do) the big man knocking the ball down to the little man.

That's why i think he'll end up back on Merseyside.
I get the impression that his Mrs is a proper home girl.
His kids at Man U too. Even though he's still young. He'd have to stay behind if he wanted to stay there.
If lukaku goes they can use the fee to pay his wages.
Somehow I doubt the present Rooney will be putting them away as regular.
Who will he oust in midfield. He's not pacy enough for the flanks.
It seems mad to get Rooney as a long term replacement for Barkley.
