If we're interested in Rooney it won't be a serious club's definition of "interested" it will be Sullivan's definition of "interested" i.e. a big name to throw around to look like the big man, sell season tickets to the gullible, etc in the full and certain knowledge that he won't have to shell out a penny on the player as Rooney will either have two dozen better options than us or the Mancs won't accept our £2.50 'bid'. Absolutely nothing to see here.

Defoe on a free, what a surprise.
If they could get Rooney on loan with manure paying 95% of his wages, their summer business would really have taken them to another level.
They really are a shit, small time no mark club, they don't even have ownership of their stadium, and the dream is to make the squad free transfers and loans.
One day they may make the massive step up to mediocrity, but I doubt it will happen under the current regime.
Despite it being classic G,S&B and a cheap option, i think Defoe would score goals for them.

Defoe is not that really good in the air.
From what I have seen of them it's cross, long high ball, cross. Set piece. Most of their goals came from payet free kicks or crosses and Antonio on the end.
They will have to play a different way.
