Argyle Sign Alfie Devine on Loan | Plymouth Argyle - PAFC

Devine shares things in common with the other two loan signings that Argyle have made during this transfer window. Like Ashley Phillips, who signed for Argyle last week, Devine is well thought of at Tottenham, and has played age-group football for England.
Alfie played in the Under-20 World Cup in the summer, in Argentina, alongside Darko Gyabi, recruited to Home Park on loan from Leeds United last week. Not so coincidentally, the England manager for that tournament was current Argyle head coach Ian Foster, who was also in charge when Alfie played in the England Under-19 squad that won the 2022 European Championship.
Darko Gyabi is a CM, clever of Plymouth to loan in players used to playing together in E u20's - makes it faster for team to gell together. and manager knows what the loanees can do
He needs careful management. Devine is physical player that will certainly do well regardless, Donley IMO is a top level player or a U21 - like Foden. Not sure he will drop down and shine, too technical
He's got a fair bit of Maddison about him, that's for sure. Hopefully he can push on and crack the first team within a few seasons.

Was thinking that too but Gerard used to really ping them at people. This kids passes arrive soft with spin on them or curl that tells you where to run after you receive it.

see this is a kid to get excited about. hes in a different stratosphere to the likes of winks and skipp. looks a proper player.
I love that he seems to see the next and best pass very quickly, doesn't hang around and moves the ball on quickly.
