Kane's fifa face looks more like Kane than real Kane. Kaneception

EA is running an online vote now for the UK cover of FIFA. Kane is on the list...

https://www.easports.com/uk/fifa/cover-vote

Naturally, I voted for him, but it's clear that the whole thing is a way to be shared across Twitter to create as much buzz for the game as possible (I'm already sold, you fuckers).

I don't like the precident this sets. There are no Woolwich players on the list, but we know exactly how it will go down if they do next year.

Henderson at number 1 so far.

I'm surprised the Gooner online fan clubs around the world haven't sent the website into meltdown voting for Wilshit!!

You just know it'll end up being some cunting shit like this:

Come on guys, get voting. Last thing we want is Jordan fucking Henderson to win and for Liverpool to gloat about actually winning something.

You can vote once a day. Tweeting gets another 10 votes. If any of you have played 15 you get extra points.

Voted, but we've got a problem with voting - RAWK has 440 members online at the moment - we have 10. :harryhmm:

Anyway they'd be mad to put Henderson on the cover - a lot will be going 'who he'?

It'll be more rigged than a FIFA ballot. I cannot see how Henderson would end up on the cover ahead of Sir Harry Kane of the Lane no matter how many bin dippers vote for him. I foresee a "late surge" for Harry so that the marketing of the game isn't fucked before it hits the shelves.

Apparently playing the game earns more votes for your chosen player....

As Liverpool fans can't afford FIFA, I think Kane has this locked.

Being of a certain age, I no longer have a games console (kids grown up, too many fucking buttons on the pads for an ageing brain to communicate to its hands, combo skills to fathom etc) I don't have a twatter account either. So I'd never really thought about the covers of football games. However, the power of advertising is such that a picture of Harry Kane on the cover makes a Spurs presence in millions of homes around the world. Kids who may not support a team yet but love playing FIFA will want to know more about its cover star. The potential value to the club in terms of marketing is vast. If even a tiny percentage of the class of FIFA 16 become attached to Spurs, then that's thousands of new fans. If a tiny percentage buy a Harry Kane shirt, that's thousands of shirt sales. I think Jay is spot on with this.

"Spurs' Kane had several presentable opportunities, but failed to convert any of them."

That didn't take long for the press to move swiftly past the "build them up" phase onto the "knock them down" phase.

Harry can look forward to plenty of this next season. Hope he can handle the negative press as well as the positive.

All the better for him not to make a big money move anywhere away from Spurs.
Difficult 'second season' syndrome mixed with a high price tag? The press would salivate at that.

Harry Kane says he is flattered by Manchester United's interest in him but adds that he fully intends to start the new season at Tottenham Hotspur.

England Under-21 striker Kane, 21, has reiterated his desire to stay at White Hart Lane, saying Spurs are one of England's "big clubs".

"I am happy at Spurs and I look forward to the future with Spurs," he said.

"I have seen there is interest but that's all I know. It is flattering for other clubs to maybe be interested."

Kane started for England as they lost 1-0 in their opening European Under-21 Championship match against Portugal on Thursday.

He scored 31 goals for Spurs in all competitions during his breakthrough campaign last season, which ended in him being named as the PFA Young Player of Year.

Kane's impressive year has led to reports that 20-time English champions United are ready to offer up to £40m for him.

When asked if it would be hard to turn down one of the Premier League's "big clubs", Kane said: "Tottenham are one of the big clubs. That is the way people have to see it. I am at a big club."
