u21 Premier League Cup last 8 current league postions:

Tottenham (1st)
Leeds (21st)
Fulham (6th)
Chelsea (4th)
Villa (18th)
Palace (15th)
Forest (17th) or Sunderland (11th) - postponed no date yet
Sheffield United (2nd in u23 PDL North)

Not sure when the QF draw is yet.
The draw has been made for the Premier League Cup quarter finals but don't think they've released the full fixtures yet.
Leeds are at home to Chelsea
Forest play Sheffield United

So we're against either Fulham, Villa or Palace. Club are probably waiting to arrange a date before announcing who we play.

One site has it as

Leeds v Chelsea (30/3)
Spurs v Fulham
Villa v Palace
Sheffield U v Notts Forest

No idea how good their info is though

Not sure I've mentioned it before but Lankshear is another one that won't qualify to be on List B for UEFA next season. Similarly to Sarr, he joined after the start of the season so won't have had the 2 years needed at the start of next season to be on list B. Would have to be on HG List A so likely wouldn't be registered. If he was loaned out at the start of the season, he wouldn't be able to be on list B next season either so might make sense to keep him around for the first half of the season and loan him in Jan.

Weirdly, if we qualify, he would still be eligible to be one of the 5 2005-born players in UEFA Youth League which also requires 2 years at the club for the 5 older players but uses different dates...

This looks great - but isn't eligibility for the U21 category based on age on 1st January of the year in which the season starts? So, taking Alfie Devine as an example - he becomes 21 in August 2025, and hence the first year in which he has the leave the U21 list is 26/27. Although Alfie is currently 20, in football-year terms he is only 19.

Yeah that's right, good spot. sudoku needs to shift Devine, Sayers, Ashcroft, Lankshear, Phillips, Bergvall and Vuskovic CT dates a year later

Bergvall for instance would be:

24/25 Overseas
25/26 Overseas
26/27 List B*
27/28 List B
28/29- Club-trained

*if not loaned out

I thought UEFA uses a player's age at the beginning of the season?

A "club-trained player" is a player who, between the age of 15 (or the start of the season during which he turns 15) and 21 (or the end of the season during which he turns 21), and irrespective of his nationality and age, has been registered with his current club for a period, continuous or not, of three entire seasons (i.e. a period starting with the first official match of the relevant national championship and ending with the last official match of that relevant national championship) or of 36 months. In the context of this paragraph, the season immediately preceding a player’s 15th birthday may be counted if his birthday is after the last match of the relevant national championship but before or on 30 June (winter championships) or 31 December (summer championships), and the season immediately following his 21st birthday may be counted if his birthday is on or after 1 July (winter championships) or 1 January (summer championships) but before the first match of the relevant national championship.

Prem and UEFA both use 1st Jan. Might just be FIFA that use different dates for u21 loan rules. Prem and UEFA do have different definitions of when the season starts though.
