Anyone else think he's our most important midfielder already? As important as Madders if not more.
We have no one in the team that can do what he does. I said a few weeks ago, he’s an omnipresent midfielder. He’s everywhere and he’s class at everything he does.
He can defend well, he can carry the ball through the middle, he can thread a through ball, pulls out wide and delivers a world class cross, he has power in his shot and has been contributing in the goals column.
Completely agree - I think he's undroppable at this point
He covers so much and does everything with a high level of quality
I'm not sure if he's someone that teams can easily adjust to and 'figure out' (ie. Kulu) - his physicality and engine is something that can't be taught

With Sarr on the pitch, we rarely lose and we rarely ever concede from open play.
He's played in 23 games this season. We've lost just 2 of those when he's been on the pitch and not been subbed off.
Brighton away - when we had Davies and Royal playing central defence, no Romero, no van de Ven, no Bissouma, no Maddison and no Bentancur
Wolves home.
In those 23 games when he's been on the pitch, we've conceded a grand total of 5 goals from open play.
Fucking FIVE.
One of which was an own goal from Romero against Woolwich.
In the 8 games he hasn't played in (or started), we've won 2, drawn 4, lost 2 and conceded 15 goals (10 from open play)
He's key at this point to everything we do.

I disagree, I think you're over-selling him. He's been standout in about one third of the games he's played in. Love the kid, but still a way to go.

Bit misleading though.
5.17 rating against Fulham in the cup despite playing about 15 minutes amongst second stringers.
4.81 rating against West Ham despite playing just 6 minutes...
agree in the main but would say that the words are more clumsy than anything else.
He's always been effing good for us, but when you see that inch perfect cross at full pelt for Madz opener then he's getting better as he's adding stuff to his game. Great skill as well as a great engine.
In the Brighton game I was really impressed with how he stuck that chance that came back at him off the post and a very narrow angle, wrong foot, at speed etc
I think the balance looked great vs Villa. Bissouma is very comfortable in front of the centre backs with Maddison and Sarr roaming. Bentancur can sort of cover for any of them in the last 30 minutes and Hojbjerg has been really good in the "finisher" role. We have a great set of midfielders now.
I also rate Pape Saar.

That pass blew me away, thank goodness Madders was there to finish it off. If a pass deserved a goal, that was it.

I like the kid a lot, please don't misunderstand me, but I think some are going a bit OTT when calling him the most important midfielder. For me, Maddison and Bissouma's remits would be harder to improve on right now. But I like what he brings and he compliments the other two really well, they all bring something very different, but all fit their remits really well and balance each other and the team.
Let's see if the kid keeps developing before putting heavy expectations on him, but at his age, he's clearly got scope.

This skinny little boy is already a ridiculously talented footballer, the rarer thing is he seems humble decent and sweet natured. He has a very high ceiling indeed. This season, it "feels" as though the team is generally better when he plays than when he doesn't.
I agree. I think he’s going to be a top player and he’s improving all the time. The mix we have in midfield with Biss,Madders,Sarr,Bentancur,Hojbjerg and even Lo Celso are great options to have. There’s few teams have the options and depth in that position . I’d honestly say we have the best group of midfielders in the league.

But Bissouma has been VERY hit and miss. Plus mostly due to his own genius choices, he has not been there for the team for part of the season. With Madders it was the injury that kept him out and then it also has taken him time to get back into form as well.
At the same time, Sarr has been almost always available (bar AFCON) and has consistently been brilliant.
I also agree in the sense that it is hard to compare them, #6 is such an integral part of the Ange-system, so purely that fact plays to Bissouma's hands. But watching back the whole season so far, #6 is also position I am mostly concerned of and needs attention in the window. PEH will move on and we need to bring on another specialist to that position.
Fair enough but you also said he's played in 23 games (he's played in 24) so which one aren't you counting if we're going to be misleading

Worth pointing out that in the B'mouth game, where PS scored the first goal, he went off injured shortly afterwards and they put us under the cosh. Very uncomfortable viewing for the next 30-40 mins. They really could have scored 2 or 3 goals.
Sure, but it also shows he's stood out in about a third of the games, i.e. better than the team average for that game and from what I can see, except maybe the first game of the season didn't underperform.
