Why is it such an issue? If there are places free and the players are aware that they are very unlikely to feature, then they see out their contracts and behave themselves in the squad. Turn up and train is what they’re paid to do. If paying off their contract isn’t something the club does then they hang around and keep fit using our facilities in case they are ever needed or get an offer they like.

Because there are a lot of really pathetic football supporters completely untethered from reality who want to see footballers who displease them publicly humiliated and punished and they'd wrongly talked themselves into a lather over the past month thinking they would actually get that. Now that they're being forced to confront the fact they were completely deluded, they're big mad.
 
I might be with the majority and wanted to see them gone, but if for any reason Dier or Lloris do end up getting minutes then fuck any cunts out there that boo them for that fact. However much they may have burnt out, they do not deserve that toxic shit hurled at them at the ground.

At successful/competitive clubs, players not wanted by the manager are immediately flogged, eg. Cancelo at City or several players at Woolwich Arteta didn’t want. Clubs will cut their losses and 💯 back the manager.

This is why they’re currently 2 best sides in the league.

If Levy and enic were serious about on field success, they would have backed Ange by terminating Dier and Lloris contracts and buy another top CB before window closed.
 
Before, Ange inferred that Hugo wouldn't be picked because 3 goal keepers was too much, now he named 5 because he's been forced to. The squad is nowhere near good enough.

We all know the squad isn't good enough atm. Not a single person on here is arguing that it is.

Realistic people understand that Lloris and Dier were given opportunities to move in the summer. They chose not to despite, as we understand it from Ange, knowing that they're unlikely to play here. We also know that getting the squad where we want it will take a few windows, not just this summer one.

Unrealistic people are crying about the squad and wailing cos two contracted players are in said squad. Obviously they blame ENIC.

Yep wasn't going to be sorted out in one window, just a bit weird with Hugo sticking around as he had multiple offers and wants out.
Hopefully we don't see either Dier or Hugo in a match day squad before the winter window.

Is definitely weird but not a lot we can do about it really. As long as they're remaining professional and are do their bit in training then it not an issue.

Only injuries will see them play which will hopefully be limited with one game a week.

Do you actually think they will play if we have injuries? I can't see it , only making the squad if that happens as both don't fit the system.
