Indeed. Just like a record points haul, unbeaten run in europe, amazing away record... oh, wait.

A few games accepted we have been bloody solid this season and done a very good job of controlling games. Not very 90s at all.

However, a powder puff midfield, aimless crossing, "just try and hit the big man", haphazard defending and running out of steam after 70 minutes are about as 90s Spurs as it can get.

I admire your optimism and hope it is well founded, but right now I just dont share it.

Again, this is not exactly right, although I do share your overall feeling of despair in where we're at right now!

We have been dreadful this season, relying at times on some fortunate decisions from referees and some get out of jail free strikes to paper over the shambles our set-up and system have been this season. We ran out of steam last night because our players are also unfit. It is very sad to see AVB gone, but his legacy is not at all great.

As for Sherwood, he started Monday morning preparing the development side, and then was told "by the way, you're taking the first team so prepare for a match the day after tomorrow." We played well in the circumstances, with the injuries and the lack of fitness. Good chances were created through some decent attacking football; we just couldn't kill them off.

Some on this board are so hypocritical. Fans who turned up yesterday backed the club, the players and the shirt. It was positive, passionate and noisy. It seems that, for some, the happy clapping is only there so long as the manager is some trendy genius from overseas.

Another thing this game highlighted was Vlad's weakness in the air, that would be the biggest flaw when pairing Vlad with Jan, both are relatively weak in the air, perhaps i'm being a bit harsh on Jan. I just hope Kaboul re emerges like a central defensive phoenix:kaboul:

Being completely honest, I didnt and dont rate Sherwood. Never have.

However, since it was announced he had the team I wanted nothing more than his unbridled success.

Last night I thought was shite, and I can assure you is a view without prejudice

A Hammer writes . . . . .

I thought it might be useful to set a couple of things straight:-

> Spurs lost & the Hammers won with an effective final twenty minutes. Perhaps it’s time to get over it? It’s football after all and these things happen (usually to us – remember Bale’s 94th minute strike at the Boleyn last season?)

> Hammers fans were noisy, Spurs fans less so. This is fairly typical for a PL ground and it’s often similar at the Boleyn Ground with away fans making the most noise.

> Hundreds of WHU fans spent the afternoon drinking around Liverpool Street before catching trains to Bruce Grove. Three consecutive WHU escorts walked down the High Road virtually unchallenged (verbally/physically) by TH fans in any way. Prior to observing some of this I was having a drink in the Olive Tree with fellow Hammers without any issues either. Kids with machismo issues wearing Stone Island do not represent the typical supporter from either club.

> This was my eighth visit as an away fan to WHL, and to be honest, Hammers fans were on their best behaviour throughout. There was no sign at all of “Neo Nazism”. Things have improved greatly over the years.

Enjoy the match on Sunday . . . . .

Did you stand around the High Street by bruce grove all night then watching the WH escorts coming down the road? Two was fronted, but of course the sheer scale of police numbers eventually came on top. You're youth fronted two brewers after game and got ran off within an embarrassing few seconds, that's just what I witnessed, there could of been more as groups of Yids were pocketed all behind the backstreets on the high road.

Anyway, i've had enough of being a keyboard warrior and arguing on the net. Let's get back to something worthwhile...

"The players were unfit" Is such a bullshit new manager cliche. We fell to pieces at the end because we didn't have Michael Dawson doing what he does best and clearing high balls away. We also have such low confidence at the minute that we stopped passing at the first sign of pressure.

It was the same problem as all season - loads of chances and shots, but not enough goals.

Good see see we got to the bottom of that then . . . . . .

Why state facts if you cant back it up you ice cream? You come on here giving it large, everyone knows you are chatting out of your arse.
I've been talking about it enough on here, then you show up.

Shadwell, Leytonstone, Mile end. 30 years undefeated hahahahaha.

Oh, and nice to see you swerving my points calling you out on your bullshit.

You seem like a nice young fellow, so I'm not going to yank your chain, nor do I feel obliged to justify what I've said.

Too cold for Ice cream - it's December!

Have a good weekend . . . . . .

I am surprised.
Surprised that so many of my fellow man.. Nay fellow YIDS. . We're such QUITTERS.
Times like that reveal a lot about people, you either surrender early, like a scared soldier... Or you pull the pin in your grenade, fire every last bullet you have and take as many of the fuckers with you.

Don't even get me started on the people that left early.
There was people trying to get stuff going after they scored the second, but ultimately the majority of people were too deflated to give it some.
