THST attacked Daniel Levy earlier this month in an open letter that put their self-importance as a committee of wankers before the harmony of our club.

Despite the malicious actions of THST, our team has continued to build on the success of recent seasons.

They carried their agenda of ticket pricing (specifically with the new stadium) into their letter, which IMO was the main axe they had to grind. They went down the line of "paying the most expensive seats" line and mixed that with expectation. That's a big mistake and totally wrong to confuse the two.

The complaint about the prices is completely justified and should be a constant on the agenda, but here is the problem when holding a specific agenda, you look to twist everything you can to play that agenda (Levy Outers do this with EVERYTHING they don't like and it makes them look like mugs).

No problem with asking the club about signings or not, mainly because so many football supporters now believe buying a player means "improving", the media has manipulated this and so many are suckered in. So with so many supporters so misguided perhaps there is some justification to ask the question on their behalf. But it shouldn't be linked to ticket prices, it's separate and should be kept so.

At the time they wrote the letter I thought it was odd, I felt it didn't represent the majority of the individual board members. I follow them on Twitter and have seen some of their tweets regarding our policy, which was at odds with the letter. It's almost like whoever wrote it went rogue.

It would be worth them perhaps saying it was poorly worded or admit they held a bias and got the wrong stick to beat the club up with.

The Daniel Levy arse kissing brigade in action again. Why don't you just setup a thread called "we think the sun shines out of Daniel Levy's backside" and put all of these opinions there?

I really don't understand the love in he gets on here at times. Yes, I appreciate he isn't the dildo brothers and other poor chairmen you can list, but he doesn't have the Midas touch. We are moving forward in a positive manner, he has had a hand in this, but he still needs to be held accountable.

You need a voice to put over the concerns of the supporters to the club otherwise individual complaints can be dismissed easily. If nothing is said then Danny boy thinks he has carte blanche to do what he wants, when he wants.

If all the THST hears are complaints, then complaints is all that is going to be put forward to the board.

There are plenty of things I don't agree with the THST about, but I don't see you giving up your time to help your fellow supporters....

I think there should be a body in place to represent us supporters on the board of a club, until that happens then we are stuck with THST.

If you don't like THST's approach, either become a member and make your opinions known, or, better still, stand for election to the board. It sounds like the existing board members would happily make way for anyone willing to volunteer their time. Give it a go and create the supporters trust that you want.

If you hadn't opened your post with the "Daniel Levy arse kissing brigade" like a child...I'd have bothered to read the rest of your post.

I don't think the trust help matters, it always seems like they are there to stir up discontent when the players need our support.

Running a football club is never going to be easy, every decision you make will piss someone off and every fan feels like the club is 'theirs' to some extent.

I really don't like the idea of any fan group having a seat on the board let alone a controlling interest, they will never make the tough/unpopular decisions that allow you to move forwards.

I need a hero.
Christ, are people still banging the Levy’s a twat drum?

He has done so much for this football club. His aim is sustainability within the top four and he’s achieving it through organic growth. Not through pissing money down the drain on overrated players season after season that don’t come close to representing good value for money.

We have the best training facilities in the league by a mile, we’ll have the best stadium by a mile, the best manager in the league by a mile and as seen last night again against United, a team that can make anyone look like an U18s girls 2nd team.

He’s the best man for the job and deserves respect. The THST need to learn to shut their mouths and show some respect to the man that has put us where we are today, in an incredibly strong position.

The more criticism I read of THST, the more I realise that people make up their minds without really knowing the facts. Why don't take some time and actually read up on how they operate?

I'm very much pro Levy and really appreciate the work that has been done to take us forward for the past 16 years, but I also share the concerns that THST are raising with the club.

10-15 years ago THST was a lot more "friendly" with the club than they are now. At that time hardly anyone gave a fuck about them and their membership was something like 500 members. They are a lot more proactive these days, and their membership is therefore growing rapidly.

At the end of the day if you disagree, you should get involved. No one is stopping you

If someone disagree's with what they are doing becoming a member doesn't help as it just looks like they represent a larger element of the fan base

As mentioned, 10-15 years ago the THST approach was very gentle whenever they dealt with the club. This has changed slightly due to a number of people deciding to get involded.

There is no reason why this can't be reversed if that's what the majority wants.

Sorry, you are wrong - they will always more strongly represent the views of the most vocal element. Even if they polled their members on every single issue the majority of people that are broadly happy just won't respond.

Regards to the letter itself, firstly, I thought it was incredibly poorly worded and the idea that it was meant to represent me as a fan I found embarrassing.

As to the actual content, it was whingy and irrelevant.... “And [sic] to ask for a full and believable explanation of how this transfer window has played out.”

As Guido Guido previously posted above, if they want to take issue with the new pricing strategy, keep it on topic and have an actual point, instead of bitching and griping. Why not focus attention on real questions such as:

- Why were so few senior and family tickets allocated?
- How did so much of the “affordable” south stand end up being allocated to 1882?
- With the addition of more than 500,000 saleable tickets over the course of a season, how can they justify such steep price rises?

Whilst I’m sure THFC would counter that last question with “these are different products (old stadium experience vs new)”, our reply should simply be that fans are still fans and we didn’t ask for cheese tunnels or Michelin starred restaurants and shouldn’t be asked to fund those features which are completely unattainable to us.

Further, with a near neutral net spend in player acquisitions since redevelopment began, much of the stadium should already be paid for... along with naming rights, NFL affiliation and seemingly a sponsor for every fixture, fitting and service installed within the stadium, the argument that “this all needs to be paid for” should be practically moot by now.

The commercialisation of every facet of not only the stadium, but the entire surrounding area, through the delivery of the Northumberland Development Project, will eventually lead to huge net gains for Tottenham Hotspur Football Club and, in turn, ENIC. Seeing as we are seemingly being asked to fund all of these additional projects, will ENIC then begin to pass some of this gain back to normal fans through subsidising ticket prices?

...those are some of the things I would like to see the supporters trust start thinking about addressing, instead of pissing and moaning about not having new toys.

How can I be wrong? I've just told you what it used to be like.

10-15 years the approach was very gentle, and as a result the vocal element were very unhappy. Of course it can go back to being like that if that's what the majority wants.

The arguments in favour of THST seem to be around the notion that the supporters are voiceless without them. How absurd. Most football fans participate with social media channels, can vote with their feet when it comes to attendance, and can decide to stop buying merchandise.

Football clubs are companies doing a line in brand loyalty, whether you like that statement or not. THST dropped the ball. It is an organisation from another age. Their hatred of Levy has shown them for what they are: Enemies of Tottenham Hotspur
