Finish as high as possible, win games and the table will look after itself. I feel is dangerous accepting our fate in January.
We have been punching well above our weight in terms of revenue & wages paid. 4th is an achievement because it means that two of Chavs, Pool, Arse, Manure & Citeh aren't at our level, in spite of having far more cash to throw around. That makes me very proud, because once we don't have the constraints of a relatively small ground by PL standards (& certainly in relation to the teams I've mentioned), we can really push on without blood money from rich arabs or Russians. We are a well run club.
4th would be just fine for me. I'd even sacrifice that for one of the 2 trophies we are still in the draw for. However, as the weeks go by, & we seem to be picking up momentum in the league, it's more of an emotional conflict. A title challenge would be every bit as satisfying.

Yeah, 4th would be good. Poch & levy would settle for that I reckon.
It be harsh to moan at finishing 4th.
& I too would sacrifice 4th for a trophy!

Can't see it. They come at us & we will bury them. They will play park the bus tactics against us. Early goal for us should bring them out of their shells though. Let's get the job done.

They are a team in form so no playing the underdog. Playing the way they did at Chelsea and end up losing would not acceptable. They may feel, they can take us on. We need to be on our game, defend well, get stuck in, take our chances and there is no reason not to win this. We seem to keep our heads these days and that will bare well.

We need to stop this accepting our fate. I feel we are better equipped to win the PL this season than last. I would be accepting of 4th if thats how good we are at the end of the season, not now. Keep on winning games who knows what could happen. The only stat we need to look at is the final score. Al we need to worry about is the next game- WBA at home.

The game may come down to temperament and we are showing great resolve and willing to mix it when necessary. Wanyama, Dier and will be our rock in the middle. Poch has got them to playing smart, heads up and linking everything up. Not only will they defend in numbdrs they will get stuck in. Pulis is a bitter man and uses this anger through his teams. His life span at a club is short because the players get fed up with him. WBA are playing better football because he is at his end and the players are showing some freedom.at the end of the day, playerz want to express themselves not just do a job?
Pulis will know how many of our goals against come from corners and free kicks. It's a horrible stat, about 90%.

Last season , winning the PL was never on the agenda
We've done extremely well lately- five wins on the trot! I think we should aim to ride that wave of good form- keep everything the same tactically but go with more attacking personnel.

-Dele at CM to get a more attacking look. He can still get forward for plenty of scoring opportunities!
-I didn't think Dier looked all that great in midfield last game- not bad, but less sharp than I had hoped. Maybe I'm being harsh and he was just tired but I'm more eager to see him continue at RB for now. His pressing and attacking runs forward from RB have been excellent imo.
-Sissoko for me as well was not that great until his assist so I don't think he quite makes the cut above others. Son scores goals and has been excellent as an outside attacker for us and should get the starts for now.
-Dembele for me at the moment is a defensive specialist against big attacking clubs and a rotation CM for everyone else. His ball winning game is top-notch but his ability to attack a packed defense is not that great and we should opt for players like Son that operate better in that scenario.
-our bench looks very solid right now!: vorm, wimmer, davies, trippier, dembele, sissoko, gkn, and janssen- pretty much all of them deserve more game time. it's a good problem for poch and us to have, but i do feel for them a bit! someone is going to have hurt feelings before the season is over.
If we come out with the right focus and attitude, we should be able to take this one 3-1.
If we give up dumb fouls on the edge of the box and lose concentration in set pieces, we could find ourselves fighting uphill against a 1-0 pulis siege job. Definitely will want to start out cautious and conservative and take the first goal.
