True. Only BUT is, he can't get a loan after jan if that was a desire
True - I think it's just bad timing for everyone, unfortunately. Keeping him with the U23s until July 1 won't be the worst thing. He will get Ireland call-ups, too. He needs to go out on loan for all of next year and likely the year after that as well. These 4 months really won't matter.

Mourinho's reputation predeceds him in regards to youth players. Players like Parrott chose to come to Tottenham because they felt they would be given chances. By hiring Mourinho the club has gone down a significantly different route in terms of footballing philosophy and youth development - it's no longer the same club he joined so no one can blame him or the likes of Skipp to be looking for a way out.

Tanganga is playing.

So Tanganga starts a couple of games and that nullifies 15+ years of having a poor history of player development?

Carlos Alberto
Dominic Solanke
Ruben Loftus-Cheek
Andreas Christensen
Mario Ballotelli
Lassana Diarra
Mikel John Obi
Jesé
Raphael Varane
Álvaro Morata
Kurt Zouma
Scott McTominay

He obviously will only bring younger players in if they fit all the criteria for him. I don't know what those criteria are, but to say he has a poor history of player development isn't the full story.

He is obviously trying to change, check his demeanour for evidence. Let's give him a chance at least?

Are people forgetting that Mourinho GAVE Parrott his Premier League debut? At 17 years of age...

He knows the talent he has. But there's no point playing someone that young if his contract situation is up in the air... He's also SEVENTEEN.

A lot of clowns on that list. Maybe it's best if Jose doesn't give young players a chance

What's the story here? He's 18 in 2 weeks by the way.

Is he every going to get a chance? The lad hasn't played a game of football in 45 days and that was a 5 minute cameo. That's not good for his development. Even if he was playing u18 or u23 it would be a bonus but he's too good for that level

Get your head out of your ass.
Within 5 years Poch was here, he ever integrated 1 academy player to main squad. Harry Winks.

That is pathetically poor record. Look how "many chances" have players like KWP, Parrot, Skipp, Tanganga got under Poch?!?
But you don't give a shit. You can only seem to think on level of braindead clichees. All you fucking care about is banging your drum (that you took out before Mou was even confirmed) and don't let facts get on your way. Like how Tanganga has just started 3 games in a row. And how Sessegnon is getting loads of playing time now...

YES, I agree that Parrott should have been in todays matchday squad and should have got at least 20 minutes instead of Moura (we never made even 3rd substitution ffs!). But your constant braindead moaning in every thread in every moment is pathetic.

1) there has not been 15+ years of poor history of player developement (as pointed out here -but when someone presents facts you fu*k off cause you have nothing to reply)
2) if Tanganga is integrated and plays more than half of the games between Pool game and end of season, he would have already equalled tally of "academy youth integrated to main team" of Poch. With 5 months. While Poch achieved it in 5 years.

Hercules SC today:

Troy Parrot. We all know he had a very minor operation few weeks ago. The view of JM, he needs to show he can physically handle stepping up. It is believed they want him to knuckle down and sign his new 5 year contract (1 year option so 4+1) offer. He hasn’t been showing what’s he showed earlier in training. Also heard he was under the weather last week.

From today's press conference.

So bits and pieces - 15 minutes here and there, at least initially, maybe the odd start later on this season is my reading of it.

At aged 17 (18 in 2 weeks), that's not unreasonable, few players at that age will play more

Greenwood at United is 18 and seems to be given quite a lot of chances to impress. Age is not too important, it's more about an individual's mentality

How many 17/18 year olds start as strikers in the EPL ... how many ever have?

Mourinho pointing out that Tanganga had two more years of hard graft on Parrott is perfectly valid, at 18 it's a pretty near certainty that Parrott is not ready to fill Kane's boots. As everyone and his dog has been saying we need to sign a striker - Parrott is not ready yet.

Greenwood has a bunch of appearances but has he started more than 1 or 2 games?

Jose is talking about having us rely on Parrott as our starting striker.

I think he'd have had more minutes if our performances were more convincing, at the moment it's not like we're smashing teams and have the luxury of letting a young player having a mooch about for experience sake.
