Missed the last 2 Excelsior games through injury and not call up for Ireland for the same reason.

Hope he's back from injury soon, as he'd had a decent loan at Excelsior so far :

21 appearances in Dutch Top League including 14 starts and 9 games where he played the full 90 mins, with a total of 1258 minutes played. Scored 7 with 3 assists - so a goal involvement every 125 minutes.

Just aged 22, and currently Excelsior's top scorer this season, next best player has scored 5, and their 4th best assist maker. He has most goal involvements at 10 with next best having 9 (includes 5 assists), so he is Excelsior's 'main man' this season.

Excelsior are now one place above the relegation zone, equal on points with team below but with a one goal better goal difference - so Excelsior need him back in goal scoring mode urgently !

Be interesting to see his stats at the end of the season - its only really since December that he's been Excelsior's main man.

Troy Parrott (Excelsior Rotterdam)

Troy Parrott remains out with his quad injury and has now missed out on Excelsior Rotterdam's past four matches in the Eredivisie. He could return for their match this weekend though at PEC Zwolle.

The 22-year-old's injury was serious enough that he was also withdrawn from the Republic of Ireland squad for their matches against Belgium and Switzerland.

Parrott stats this season - 8 goals and 4 assists (12 goal involvements) in 15 starts and 7 off the bench totalling 1326 mins - so a goal involvement every 110.5 mins or one in a little over a 90 min game.

By no means outstanding, but certainly decent for a side struggling towards the bottom of the Dutch top division.
Troy was the flavour of the month when he first burst on the scene. Many were calling for Jose to feature him in the first team.
Fan interest in him has cooled but IMO he is still an excellent prospect.

prospect yes, but he's now age 22 so needs to show he's able to compete in a man's game - which he is at Excelsior but needs to turn it up a few notches to be a top class player

If I was quoting his stats in the transfer thread many would be calling for us to sign him.
I think he could be good for us. Not long to go for pre-season when Ange will make his decision.

Parrott subbed off after 68 mins after scoring a goal and getting an assist : job done

But in about 90+ 3 mins there was a melee amongst players .... with Parrott receiving a red card !.

Sent off for pulling an opposition player's ear after the match had finished. Probably a 3 match ban and they only have 4 games left (or 5 if they finish 3rd bottom).

Excelsior footballer Troy Parrott has been suspended for the away game against Ajax on Wednesday, April 24. After the red card against FC Volendam, the Irish striker received a settlement proposal for two duels, including one game conditional. The Rotterdam club has agreed to this
