Barnsley are a decent side!
Good to get Dembele, Trippier and Winks some game time to help with their injury recoveries.
Foyth and Walker peters out of position was a good test for them.
Dele maybe can gain some much needed confidence too.
 
1-0 will do. No injuries. Give some game time to a different group of players who may not always play together.

Maybe letting season ticket holders and kids in for free and a fiver for adults would have got more in through the door. Tenner isn't exactly steep but a good will gesture would have been something at least. Plus with the £6 chicken burgers and £3 bottles of water they would still have made some cash. Assuming we get the concessions money. 23000 at the lane would have been poor. At Wembley it's shit for everyone - players playing in empty stadium, fans who can't generate any atmosphere and Levy's wallet which would have made fuck all.

From the sound of it Barnsley played well defensively. And quite frankly, some games you just have to grift and grind to get a result. And at the end of the day the result is more important than how flashy your play was to get it. Hopefully something our entire team can learn so we don't end up headless once we face a team that don't allow us to play our way.

And to mention all you said as well. Got some injured/second string guys consistent playing time
