what a load of nonsense you lot are saying, we dominated the match, they only got chances on us because of one man, fucking danny rose, goes up front, doesnt defend, (his job) his crosses are, he swings his leg like a cricket bat, he has no ability to caress and feel the cross, he just hopes it gets to someone, and it never does, watch the game again, any team including lower league teams can play park the bus, and watford a supposedly good pl team, just ran and ran, and used their pacy players for break attacks, which we are susceptible to, due to crap full backs who dont know how to defend.
now here is what we do, we get rid of danny rose, and drop aurier to sub, in january we go and get 2 fullbacks who can pick out a pass/cross, and watch the opposition crumble, we had about 40+ crosses inc corners, and out of them we had at most 5 sort of chances, we must buy 2 fullbacks, because it is our attack to break down park the bus teams, and when it doesnt work we get frustrated, lose concentration and get caught, happens all the time, theres nothing wrong elsewhere, just full backs.

And we’re 4 minutes away from losing and scraped a point at home against the shittest team in the PL.

Same old same old same old.

You think what you wrote is a positive when all we did was draw late on?

c’mon mate...

yesterday’s performance was turgid, inept, limp and almost devoid of any creativity.

Dominated Watford? 5-0 is domination. We were 4 mins away from losing to the worst side in the league (who had a number of key players out injured).

Yes, Rose was poor...but was it all really the fault of the FB’s? 3 centre halves v Watford at home was a bizarre pick. It was made more stark by (yet again) conceding early. The opposition were always gonna Park the bus after that. We needed probing skill and dynamic pace thereafter to try to break through. Until Son came on we had neither..and at no point did we have the former.

Abject...and as we all know, not a one off. It’s become an all too regular theme. CL rollercoaster aside we’ve been piss poor for the entire year (2019).

addressing your main point and not being flippant, I can imagine a scenario where Poch, presented with two new gleaming top class FB’s would declare their ‘unreadiness’ for the first team and wouldn’t be seen for two months

New manager will have no misplaced loyalty to these pricks. They currently know they’ll play regardless.

I’d rather Poch stays, if I’m honest, but at the same time he’s showing he has no tactical nous or invention right now. He’s persisting with shit systems, tactics and players. He has other options and won’t use them.

He’s previously talked about being brave, and yet right now is cowering with no courage in sight. Play the kids. Play those on the sidelines. Drop the fuckers that are off anyway or want away. By not, he’s also the problem.

That I fully agree on, and that is how he has chosen to become a part of the problem.

However, as I said before sacking him still doesn't offer no sollution.

Neither revisionist nor hindsight.

Not re-inforcing in those transfer windows was criminal. I've always said 2-3 signings in every summer transfer window and don't buy in January.

We've been linked with plenty of 'good' players that we wouldn't cough up for. Barkley, Grealish, Tielemans, even McGinn! Plus a whole load of Euro and South American players that no-one has every heard of. We could offer CL football and yet still were unable (or unwilling) to sign anyone.

Selling Dembele and not replacing? Can anyone explain that?

Lamela and Sissoko with eye-watering contract extensions?

We could have bought, but chose not to.

I remember us dismembering Stoke away in the 'Leicester' season and thinking "a few more pieces to this jigsaw (i.e. a few new players) and we have a real chance of the PL next season"

Now it's feeling like the dark days of Graham/AVB/Santini.

Liverpool went to Hull and signed their LB, by the way.

The result very much backs up your argument.

Having the ball because they let us isn't dominating. Our goal was luck. Shouldn't have been given, and in fact they were more likely to score then us. We were a joke.

well that would make poch a complete idiot, and i mostly agree with comments that we did lack creativity, but we had nearly 50 cross efforts, with hardly any good chances, due to poor quality as i said, and once you get quality crosses in the box, the defence will panic , and if breakthrough comes, then you get the open play to thrash the team who just abandoned their park the bus plan, because they now need a goal, they will still be defensive, but will try a bit harder to get a goal, which will leave them open to be punished.

look when you play a park the bus team, of which there are too many in pl, which is supposed to be the best league, which it is not, they have to run and run, they have to stay compact, hardly any spaces, its not about technique, its about wokload, thats it, basically they know that if they dont play it, they will get stuffed, its a tactic for scared teams, and loads of teams play it against us, so they are scared of us.
now there was a test done in spain after the champions league match when barcelona lost to chelsea park the bus team in the fimal, and the test was they put out the test dummie players equipment all teams use, compact around the last third of the pitch, just small spaces between them, now the attacking team had to attack at match pace and try to penetrate it, they did but not that much, even though the defence was still. it was still hard to play between them at match speed, now when the defence now becomes mobile as well, then you can understand why it is so hard to penetrate, yes watford are bottom of the league. but they played scared and got a result, and many, many inferior teams are doing so, if they concede a goal, due to deflection ,fluke, penalty, own goal, then they are fucked, because their true level of play is revealed, and they get stuffed, by the way that spanish test was on one of the spanish shows with football, and they were trying to work out why barcelona couldnt penetrate brick wall chelsea, when they totally dominated nearly all the match, watched it ages ago.

Why don’t we stay compact then?

they didnt have a choice about letting us have the ball, they arent good enough to take us on without playing the scared tactic park the bus, which means we dominate, and we did, but we wasted all our crosses, with poor quality crossing, their defence was too comfortable, and not harried, but get some quality crosses in, and they soon change to panic mode, and when we lost that early goal to them, did you see danny rose playing catchup on the winger, who crossed it, a bloody useless defender, because he doesnt defend.

You'd be surprised how many times teams excuses after playing us last time Quique was in charge was "we wasted our chances, we didn't create enough, we were all over them but just couldn't find the final pass, WE HAD A BAD GAME!". That last one was pretty much said after every team we beat when we came up last time.

That's how Quique sets us up. To disrupt the final ball, to keep a great shape to minimise space in the defensive third, and hit on the break. To play 30% possession of the ball. I think he actually even complained vs Woolwich that we had more possession that he would have liked!

You say we parked the bus. We had 7 shots on goal, a lot of those were second half and a lot of them were actually half chances. It was counter attacking football and we should have scored 2 or 3 more if we were more clinical, even if you exclude the penalty.

So obviously complain all you want about how you think we played and how bad you think you were. We made you look bad and you deserved to lose.

Why don’t we stay compact then?
what you mean get more defensive, because thats what it will take, and we spurs fans enjoy the style, without the lapses of concentration, which cost us against inferior teams, but i would certainly not commit fullbacks to attack, without cover for the opposing teams possible breakaway attack, that infuriates me, and we shouldnt chuck all midfield into attack , last third of pitch, if the opposing team gets the ball due to a missed pass etc, we get caught and then are scrambling back, i hate this, all it needs is for the players to stay aware, that they must always never leave the back door open, trying to be too gung ho.

You'll struggle to find many of us that disagree.

We haven't won away from home in God knows how many months. Why aren't we staying compact and using Son and Moura on the break?

It may have been said in the 80 pages that preceded this but I didn't fancy trolling through them all so just read the last couple!

we spurs fans enjoy the style

We're utter shit at the moment. I know we enjoy open, attractive football (doesn't every fan of every team?) but if haven't won away from home in months and failed to keep a clean sheet in almost as many, why are we pushing our full backs up the pitch and simply passing it sideways in midfield?

We created absolutely nothing yesterday. Watford were the better team and created more chances.

We should have hooked Harry, or dropped him to replace Dele, and played Moura and Son off him. Sat back and at least tempted them out.

Just try *anything* different.
