No. I dont want to see the club ruined financially, but I'd rather see more money invested in keeping players like Toby at the club than a posh cheese room in the new stadium...
And If I can ever afford to take my Grandchildren to NWHL I'd rather them be excited by watching world class footballers than climbing a wall or taking some sky-walk..
Nothing wrong with a bit of fiscal prudence, but we take it to a whole new level.

Pre-season vote over 40% said we wouldn’t win the league.
Although more voted for 4th than second. So a few here knew their onions.


I basically thought 4th was realistic due to Wembley factor and dodgy away form. But I still came up with some punditry insight gold.

Basically if our home form was the best AND our away form was the best we could win the league.

Yes I’m a genius.

I remember last time there was a campaign to paint me as something, like there was with Gibbs.....didnt go too well though. Despite your neat little yellow card campaigns, everyone can see what your'e doing.

I think you're expecting a bit much of a forum. People argue on the the internet. Sammy & Gibbs both post a lot about Spurs and they argue a bit as well. Do they deserve to be permanently banned for that? Even if they posted 70% Spurs and 30% shite, I still don't think that's worthy of banning for good.

We will never win the league under our structure. Its impossible, are buiness model does not factor that into it's strategy. We play for revenue never risk.
Those who thought we would win this season were more deluded than an Arse Woolwich sycophantic.

What’s delusional about Utd being the better team? They’ve been above us for 34 games.
That’s has nothing to do with money though it’s about their manager and players having the mentality to do what it takes to win games. Finish 5th win a double.

With Fellaini, Lukaku, Smalling, Jones, Young, Lingard in the side.....are you saying they are better than our players?

Or is it a case of they know how to close out a season one way or another.

And considering City had it wrapped up by December, we are not way off from everyone else, all things considered.

We have finished above City for the last two seasons......impossible to some, considering they spent about a billion pounds in that time. Yet we did it anyway, so why wouldnt we think it possible again last August?
Because they bought Kyle Walker?

Hindsight is great, but the money argument doesnt stack up.

People keep saying its the current model, or wages. If players down tools to get pay rises, they should be fired, not rewarded. The talent is there, the motivation and mental strength is whats questionable.

Anyone who says the ignore function ruins threads is a liar that just wants to bicker. Its been bliss here since I started using it, and it only gets better after this post with you gone.

Early in the season, some fans thought we could win the PL which is possible But it is not realistic expectation.
We lost to manu last weekend, those same fans are now saying we lost to manu because they spent £750m, they are higher than us in the table and they are the better team.
We could have won the SF but as you said the motivation and mental strength is whats questionable and I believe that comes from the management down to the players. Second half in Wembley was very tough to watch.
