Watched the game again and for 70 minutes Bournemouth were very good ... easy to see how so called 'big-teams' have been turned over ... however they can only play one way, direct attacking football, because they lack the players to hold onto possession ....
This has two major impacts, they run out of legs, and they are always open to fast counters ...
Pretty sure we would have come back and won with a fit Kane ... but the enforced change played to our strength and their weakness ...
Come 70 minutes they were gone ...
Same tactics won't work against Chelsea will be interesting to see what Poch does .....

Eat sh*t and die you cynical sh*tposter.

I stand by what I said. I hailed performance of the team all in all (specially Dembele and Vertonghen) but that does not change the fact that we should start playing from the whistle and keep focus for full 90 minutes. Today we managed to turn it over and it's absolutely great achievement!

I mean, you have to be total dumbf*ck to not understand that not being focused at the start of games might cost us, have cost us in the past and if we do not improve in that regard, it will in future as well. It quite frankly baffles me that it even needs to be explained to a person. GIVING AWAY GOALS MAKES IT HARDER FOR US TO GET RESULT. We saw it against Liverpool game, we saw it in West Brom game. All I want is my team to stop own life harder you know. On some other day opponent will not be as mercyful not to score from empty net like Bournemouth did today... so I would really to do better in that regard in future.

It does make you realise what a fantastic effort this was, when you consider Bournemouth's recent results at home...
Winning there was no 'given'... ESPECIALLY after going 0-1 down AND losing Kane...

Just shows you, we really ARE the Harry Kane team! ...as he clearly changed the entire game by going off.

Tactical masterclass!

It seems impossible that Kane’s injury rejuvenated the team... the addition of Lamela and the deeper role for Eriksen... blocked off Bournemouth. I doubt that change was possible with Kane on the pitch.
Very interesting. Tell me more.

I always like the subtle things in games and when watching on TV it is hard to always find them, but one stood out for me today. When Kane was injured and walking around the pitch...
I didn't pick up on what Rose did but, as Kane walked behind Defoe, who was on the sideline warming up, I'm sure they shared the subtlest of handshakes, which I thought was a nice touch.

possibly or it will give us a massive kick up the arse and we will win 1-4

Called it :allitongue::sonlol::sonlol:: ostrich:

Certainly at 1-0 I felt it would be a frustrating day. When Harry went off the players took their chance to show they can deliver without him. Was happy seeing Lamella coming on knowing he wouldn't hold back, his sense of urgency is infectious. Similarly when Sissoko came on I happy about the sub, I felt he would sure it up, so maybe he has found his place?

See this morning Manure have switch focus from Rose... Don't blame them, he was awful... I feel him and Aurier will both be practising their crossing this coming week, it wont have gone unnoticed. Shame Moose has dropping off a little from his dizzy heights a few weeks back. Maybe he needs a rest?

not if we score 4 in return

Further question - should we base our gameplan on the assumption that we can, does it sound reasonable?

I mean this aspect still pisses me off, and I am very happy that we were able to turn it around. But in the next time we might not, so I find we should try to eliminate this from our game. Again, seems very obvious but...

We played a big game Wednesday night, this often happens to top teams after additional games in Europe, first 10-15 minutes of a game, they seem mentally and physically off the pace. Not an excuse, but always happens, Bournemouth pressed hard during this time and caused all sorts of problems.

Really hope Dele and Sonny can prosper for however long Kane is out. Hopefully he isn't too bad, can be an excuse not to play for England, have a little rest and get back too it for spurs again soon =D
Conte will be rubbing his hands together, his 10 man defense tactic is probably seems more likely too work without Kane up top.

He will never wear the shirt again, look at Lamela

Bournemouth also seemed to start with a very similar 442 / 424 setup to the one that Juve switched to - we really struggle to defend against it.
