Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Actually, this is meant to be a POSITIVE thread.

We've had a fucking up and down last few weeks with the horrible loss away at Burnley which dented our title hopes and then the loss away at Chelsea which pretty much destroyed any hope of it. The draw against Woolwich which dragged us down to a battle for top four and now the loss against Southampton which has put us in a war for top four.

BUT.....

We're moving into our new home guys. It's been confirmed. We have FIVE remaining home games from our final 8 games. With the passion of the home fans behind this talented team, the roar of that new White Hart Lane crowd, we'll see it through and we'll get there.

Sure, we have Liverpool and Man City to play away from home and on this form it's very likely that's 0 points whilst our rivals could nip in ahead of us.

BUT....

They don't have it so easy either. Just look at our rivals remaining fixtures.

Man Utd:
Woolwich (A), Watford (H), Wolves (A), West Ham (H), Everton (A), Man City (H), Chelsea (H), Huddersfield (A), Cardiff (H).

Woolwich:
Man Utd (H), Newcastle (H), Everton (A), Watford (A), Palace (H), Wolves (A), Leicester (A), Brighton (H), Burnley (A)

Chelsea:
Wolves (H), Everton (A), Cardiff (A), West Ham (H), Liverpool (A), Brighton (H), Burnley (H), Man Utd (A), Watford (H), Leicester (A)

--

Let's get behind this team, get into our new stadium and get back to winning ways and end this season strong. Because those below us WILL drop points from now until the end of the season.

COYS
Chavs,Burnley,Brighton, palace and Cardiff can all have a big say in where the league goes and who finishes top 4.

Watching City now. Our problem is nothing to do with mentality. It’s ability, skill and finesse.

If anything, it’s our mentality that’s our greatest strength.

United win is possibly preferable because they have a rough schedule in the league over the next 6 weeks, and Champions League, and FA Cup. So denying Woolwich any points with their remaining schedule may be better than one each, but it’s close.

Chelsea have a game in hand which really fucks the math, though, but they also play at Liverpool and Man United.

I think the table ends up as City, Liverpool, then:

Tottenham 77 points
United 76 points
Woolwich 75 points
Chelsea 74 points
Yeah. Keep Woolwich down. Obviously (non-serious) injuries & suspensions be good too. Woolwich win= bad, draw= quite good, Woolwich loss=very good! Going to be a close race now for top 4.

City just have better quality players than us. That's what you can do if you invest in the team. We have been punching above our weight thanks mainly to poch.

United have the hardest run-in but the Midas man so hard to not see them getting a berth.

If Woolwich or Chelsea or a team in the top 4 win the CL does it have implications on hiw far you go down the PL or would it be that if us or United won the CL and finished 5th/6th that the PL would have 5 representatives.

Put it this way I would take 77 points right now and say beat that.

Conversation comes up every single season.

If United win the CL and Chelsea win the EL and we finish 4th, we miss out.

It'd almost be 'Spursy' ?

The Premier League will have 5 teams in CL if:

United/Tottenham finish outside of top 4 but win CL, or;
Woolwich/Chelsea finish outside the top 4 but win the EL.

Only the top 3 will make it if both winners of the CL and EL are from PL and outside of top 4.

Not if either of those teams are also in the top 4.

In that scenario they wouldn't be. Sorry, Woolwich would finish above us in that scenario, just to take the piss even more.

Oh. And Liverpool win the league.

1. Liverpool
2. Man City
3. Woolwich
4. Tottenham
5. Man Utd - CL Winners
6. Chelsea - EL Winners

How fucking depressing would that be?

Luckily, it ain't happening.

Still slight favourites according to the bookies. United have the best form but a load of injuries and the toughest fixtures. Woolwich have the easiest fixtures but are not good away from home.

Thanks.

In other words 5 PL teams in the CL is the maximum permitted as winners of either must gain entry for next season.

Got it.

And we can't get a fucking point out of Burnley or Southampton ?
Or Watford or Wolves.
No easy fixtures for our lot, fuck knows where the next point is coming from, if there is such a thing for us for the rest of this season.

It doesn’t matter where we finish, we are going to win the CL

This is how the table will look after the weekend we play Liverpool if:

Chelsea: beat Wolves H, beat Everton A and beat Cardiff A
United: draw with Arenal A, beat Watford H
Woolwich: draw with United H, beat Newcastle H

We're fucked

One point behind, in a worst case scenario, immediately after one of the toughest fixtures, with 5 of the remaining 7 at home, at our new ground rather than Wembley? Doomed I tell ye. Doomed!
