Really not sure why the French team dragged Ndombele out to sit on a the bench in the 2 matches played on international break. Was he involved inn training there ? Did he receive appropriate medical treatment as prescribed by Spurs medics when away with the French team ?

So maybe Ndombele and Vertonghen back, but no real reason to play them unless we are sure they are fit.

We have a squad of about 25 players of whom only 18 were in the squad at the weekend and even with Davies, Lamela and Lloris/Vorm injured there are still a few fit players who could join the squad against Olympiacos such as Foyth, Sessegnon, Skipp, Wanyama, Parrott and Tanganga. And I think Mourhino will want to de them all play before finalising the list of players he wants to replace in January/summer.

"Clear that he views Sess as a winger"

Or could be that he views him as excess to requirements.

EDIT...

Daily Mirror Chief Football Writer John Cross revealed Mourinho is a big fan of Sessegnon - and has been for some time.
"Ryan Sessegnon should have no worries about being a major part of Jose Mourinho’s plans at Tottenham.
New Spurs boss Mourinho tried to sign England prospect Sessegnon, 19, for THREE transfer windows running while in charge of Manchester United."

Oh, OK then. maybe not.

Ndombele back which is good news. And we have an experienced reserve GK available for the first time since Lloris got injured !

Anyone any ideas on when Davies is back ? Not the most flashy of footballers, but think he and Vertonghen are better than Rose atm, so vital we get him back to at least rotate with Vertonghen

He's had surgery so probably not until March-April.

Thanks

Have to admit I was afraid that might be the answer. Really means that unless Sessegnon is able to cover as a LWB we really are a bit short on left sided defenders, unless Mourhino is prepared to try out Japhet Tanganga.

No it isn't. It's a disingenuous question is what it is.
If it were a genuine question it would imply that you don't know the answer. And unless you have only been a Spurs supporter since after the 19th of October this year then you know the answer.

No, it was a genuine question, I am curious about how often he has been injured even before his OP, I framed the question wrong but it seems like he has missed a LOT of time through injury since signing with us but it's hard to say just how much because things often look much worse than they actually are.

Just googled it, Lamela has missed 96 games since joining us in 2013 in the premier league, he has been injured for a combined total of 632 days.

Also this is from April this year based on all comps...

"Lamela has missed 132 games for Tottenham. He’s played in 185 (10670 minutes) in the last six years – 58% of the available appearances and 37% of the available minutes (28530)."

Imagine what that percentage is now...

Would be curious to see how that compares to Anderton or even Ledley King in his final seasons, got a feeling Lamela wouldn't be far off those two in terms of games missed through injury.

Surely it's best for all parties to move him on?
