JUVE AND MILAN PREPARE SISSOKO MOVE

Juventus and Milan are both preparing moves to sign out-of-favour Spurs midfielder Moussa Sissoko for next season, says Calciomercato.com.

The Serie A duo are understood to be willing to pay €25m for the France international, who only moved to White Hart Lane from Newcastle last summer.

Before you get excited €25m is about £3.76 after a "hard brexit", according to The Guardian

Seems like there could be a transfer merry go round this summer.. Lacazette to Atletico, Griezmann to Utd, Lukaku to Chelsea, Rooney to Everton (Potentially)

Would it be wise to try and get Batshuayi?

In my honest opinion a move for Defoe or any striker near his age and quality is 100% what we need in the summer.

Pochettino needs to see this.

I'd rather give Defoe one last turn to finish out his career at the top for one or two years.

Defoe without;
a) Being first choice, and therefore always being match sharp
b) The benefit of playing in a team who can play counter attacking football every game

Would imo be the same average Defoe that was playing for us at the end of his last stint.

Am cautiously optimistic ahead of the summer transfer window (not even taking the possibility of flogging Sissoko to anyone willing into account!)

We've got a superb starting eleven with a couple of patchy areas that almost every transfer rumour would imply we are trying to recruit for. Our scouting department seems to have been improved (or at least an attempt has been made to do so), and there's a chance that lessons have been learned from the last couple of years.

Plus, it looks like we have some options in terms of players that might fit the bill, so we'll ideally not be stuck in a 'X is the only guy for us' situation.

Having said all that - I think the biggest indicator might be if we can bring one/two players in early doors. No international tournaments to delay the process, so getting some deals across the line in June would be a big sign that we know what we're doing.

We need a backup striker who can actually score and another CB.
If a world class player becomes available and wants to move to Spurs, by all means.
Only other position I can see we may need is a pacey goalscoring winger in the Mane mould to make an impact off the bench.

Just a striker. Please. One who can hit the ground running and knows the league.

We don't need a winger as our best formation is 3-4-2-1. Maybe a CAM but our main focus should be a striker.

The highest scoring substitute in English football?
