U23 team to face Blackburn Rovers: Austin, Hinds, Cirkin, White, Dinzeyi, Marsh (c), Tracey, Oakley-Boothe, Roles, Maghoma, Bennett.

Subs: De Bie, Duncan, Parrott, Lyons-Foster, Markanday.

Dinzeyi and Marsh as CB's, not sure where Eyoma and Tangana are ?

White and Oakley-Boothe I'd guess as our CM's.

From the line up, Roles may be playing as a false no 9 with Tracey, Maghoma and Bennett behind in a 4231 or Maghoma joining the CM's in a 433.

Subs include Parrott and Markanday as attacking options - but noth played for u18's at weekend, Markanday as a CM.

Like the idea of Roles as a false 9.

That team selection was horrendous.

Marsh at centre-back.
Dinzeyi, Tracey and Oakley-Boothe still getting games despite being consistently abject.
Maghoma struggling for form again.

What did we expect? Why not just play our decent players?

Austin
Hinds Lyons-Foster Eyoma/Tanganga Cirkin
White Skipp/AN Other
Markanday Roles Bennett
Parrott

Is Burnett the problem ?

Spurs u18's away at 3rd placed Chelsea u18 on Wednesday, only one more game after this at home v Leicester. We are in 2nd 4 points behind Woolwich with a game in hand so this is a must win game to maintain a challenge.

McDermott/Mason will rotate the team again no doubt as there are half a dozen injuries and some of the best of the group played in the u23's the other day, but might drop down again ?

Spurs u18's won 2-0 with Troy Parrott scoring both goals - for the last 5 years Chelsea have been almost unbeatable at this age level so fantastic to do the double over them this season.

Good to see Jamie Bowden back after almost 3 mnths out with injury,

Spurs u16 Dermi Lusala made his debut, but sent off after 79 minutes, so an eventful debut ! He is the 7th of Spurs u16's to make his u18 debut - the full list :

Timothee Lo'Totula (GK)
Marques Muir (CB)
Dermi Lusala (CB/RB)
Michael Craig (CB/DM)
Matthew Craig (CM/AM)
Nile John (AM)
Tarrelle Whitaker (Forward)

The last of the u18 league fixtures this season for the top 2 teams , both on April 27th :

Tottenham v Leicester

Fulham v Woolwich

Woolwich have a one point lead so we need Fulham to take points as well as Spurs winning..

WindyCOYS WindyCOYS Only 2 games to go in u23's and 1 game for u18's.

We have a large development squad of over 20 players now - and one of our largest ever intakes now at Academy Year 2 who will need to either get a pro contract and go into the development squad, get a 3rd year scholarship or leave.

Have you heard of who is moving on from either existing development squad or Academy Year 2 or going on loan or getting a 3rd year scholarship or joining the First Team squad ?

With these numbers, logically we probably need to 'lose' about 15 players either permanently or on loan so its a major shakeup I'd have thought.

Development squad

Goalkeepers
Alfie Whiteman, Brandon Austin, Thomas Glover, Charlie Freeman, Jonathan De Bie

Defenders
Connor Ogilvie (LB/CB), (CB), Japhet Tanganga (CB), Jaden Brown (LB/CB), Tariq Hinds (RB/LB), Timothy Joel Eyoma (CB/RB), Jonathan Toko Lema Dinzeyi (CB), Jamie Reynolds (CM/LWB), Cameron Carter-Vickers (CB)

Midfielders
Anthony Georgiou (LW/LB), Luke Amos (DM), Dylan Duncan (CM), George Marsh (DM/CB), Jack Roles (CM/CAM), Tashan Oakley-Boothe (CM/AM), Marcus Edwards (AM), Joshua Onomah (CM/AM)

Forwards
Shayon Harrison (S), Marcus Edwards (CAM/RW), Kazaiah Sterling (S), Sam Shashoua (W/AM), , Shilow Tracey (AM/W/S)

Academy Year 2

Goalkeeper
Joshua Oluwayemi

Defenders
Brooklyn Lyons-Foster (CB/RB/LB), Maxwell Statham (CB), Jubril Okedina (CB)

Midfield
Phoenix Patterson (CM/AM), Paris Maghoma (CM/AM), Oliver Skipp (CM/DM), Jamie Bowden (CM/DM), Armando Shashoua (AM), Maximus Tainio (DM), Dilan Markanday (AM/W)

Forwards
Rodel Richards Jr (S), Jeremie Mukendi (S/RW), Elliot Thorpe (S/W/AM), Rayan Clarke (AM/W), Maurizio Pochettino (W)

And the position is possibly made worse by some of the Acdemy Year 1 (Troy Parrott, J'Neil Lloyd Bennett, Harvey White, Dennis Cirkin and possibly Luis Binks and even Malachi Walcott) starting to play u23's now and presumably will be playing even more next season, leaving less game time for this in the development squad !
