You watching on BT? Just wondered what the story is behind the bald stats.

Generally good team performance.

Inter are struggling to deal with Dilan Markanday's dribbling and passing ability which is pulling their defence and midfield all over the place creating space. for others at their end of the field.

Helps enormously when you have Parrott and Roles, both good marksmen, able to take advantage of the space and add more pressure - and our CM's are in charge of midfield, so not a lot of balls to take the pressure off Inter.

That was a strange old game wasn't it.

I really liked that 11 that started and after going one down they played some really slick football and utterly dominated the rest of the half and deservedly got themselves 2-1 up. Really liked Parrott, liked the fact that he worked and came looking for the ball sometimes, was a real presence and clearly has an eye for goal. But there was just a nice balance to the team all over. The FB's were both pro-active, Bowden and White were a real nice pairing, both busy, but both composed. And Ive always liked Roles, the boy's got something about him, he's not the most elegant, or the trickiest, he's just got timing and positional awareness, a lot like Alli.

Edit
Also Markanday is very good with the ball at his feet, another one of those little dribblers (Edwards, Shashoua etc) that we keep finding.

The game seemed to start slipping when the subs started. I think Bowden going off disturbed the balance, then other changes were made and it all got a bit erratic, and Inter ended up having a great first ten minutes and last ten minutes.

Also, didn't realise Matt Wells was Cliff Jones grandson

So according to the Guardian the new suggestion for the rules regarding loaning out players is a club cannot have more than 8 players out on loan in a season and they cannot send mor ethan two players to the same club.

At the moment we do not have a lot of players out on loan so no worry for us but for clubs like the Chavs it will cause a bit of a headache.

Not really. They will sell them for peanuts with ridiculous buy back clauses

Mixed up my newspapers. It's the Times. Not the Guardian

Firesale?

Quite possible but Chelsea have had this kind of number of players on loan for years, but buying maybe 6-10 more (or getting some from their youth system) and selling half a dozen or m ore each year, often to clubs they have loaned them to as Chelsea do not see they will become PL quality. So out of the 30 I'd guess half or less might be of interest to Spurs. And would only sell to us if the player demanded the sake be to us.

Bigger effect maybe that Chelsea and ManCity academies will not be as attractive to youngsters as they were and Spurs get some of them. But it maybe things continue as things are now and join them for high wages and leave aged 21 to join another club - with £1m banked already from the high wages

0-0 at HT
Four 2nd half goals in 17 minutes from Parrott, Markanday, White (pen), Parrott to make it 4-0 after 62 minutes .

Josh Oluwayemi commits a foul in the box but dives left to save Thomas’ spot kick - his fourth penalty save in three games in the U18 Premier League!
