Jack Roles training with first team today

Worth saying there were a number of youth players in training - I suspect there was a 'friendly' match which required more players than available in the first team hence the youngsters - think I saw Tashan Oakley Boothe and Harvey White in the video.

So I looked up Kaziah Sterling on Transfermarkt to get an idea of how he was doing.

2 games in League 1 so far. Fair to say his loan to Sunderland has been a bust?

Goodman will join the Club on 8 April from Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur, where he is currently working as Assistant Head of Player Development for their Under-16 to Under-23 age groups.

Lost another coach, this time to be Academy Manager at MK Dons - a big step up for him albeit at a smaller club. Inevitable I guess but hope we can find other youth coaches to bring in, as this must now be a recurring theme where good youth coaches want to better themselves and inevitable

Spurs u18's away to Fulham :
Oluwayemi, Okedina, Statham, Lyons-Foster, Walcott, Binks, Pochettino, Shashoua (C), Clarke, Markanday, Cooper.

subs - Craig, De Bie, Pedder, Thorpe

Still no recognised u18 strikers (Parrott, Richards, Asante, Mukendi) fit and no sign of u16 striker Whittaker who has played recently. First start I think for Chay Cooper (AM).

Spurs won 4-0 through a Shashoua first half penalty , Spurs on top through out with a dominant 2nd half where they scored another three (Shashoua, Markanday and Thorpe) to keep the unbeaten winning run going

Spurs u18's remain a point below Woolwich but with a game in hand, and with a better goal difference - however that has shrunk to being 3 better than Woolwich (+51) on +54 after a big Woolwich 8-0 win today.

Staggering to have a goal difference of 71 goals scored and 17 conceded, when we've had no u18 strikers (but an u16 striker playing sometimes) for about the last 6 or 7 games.

The two best teams in the country by the looks of it, we're 13 points clear of Chelsea in third, and have 8 more points and a +28 GD over Liverpool who are leading the north division. It's fascinating to see really, such a clear gap between two teams and everyone else

and we've both scored over 20 goals more this season than any other side in our u18 league

MK Dons Under-15s will welcome Tottenham Hotspur to Stadium MK in April for the annual Gwen and Jim Mann Academy Challenge Match sponsored by Kinship Logistics.

The Young Dons will take on Spurs on Friday 26 April, the evening prior to the first-team’s trip to Colchester United. Kick-off is set for 7pm.

Academy Youth Development Phase Lead Coach John Bitting told mkdons.com: “This fixture is a great opportunity for our young players to play against a top Academy side in their home stadium in front of a large crowd.

“This fixture is part of our Academy’s strategy and philosophy to provide the players with an insight into what they can face in their future careers. They learn about match preparation, media training and dealing with a crowd, in a stadium, under the lights.

The boys will be working hard in training and their games leading up to this fixture, in order to be prepared for what will be a really tough game. They are determined to remain competitive throughout the game and to showcase the MK Dons football philosophy to a wider audience.”

The match will provide supporters with a chance to see not only some of the brightest young talents in the Dons’ Academy but also in the country.

Tottenham Hotspur’s Academy is famed for producing the likes of Sol Campbell, Peter Crouch, Glenn Hoddle, Mark Hughes and, more recently, Harry Winks, Danny Rose, Andros Townsend and, of course, Harry Kane.

Spurs midfielder and former MK Dons Academy graduate Dele Alli is someone who has featured in previous incarnations of this Challenge Match.

Interim Academy Manager Simon Dwight said: “Every season we welcome a team to Stadium MK for our showcase fixture and this season we are excited to welcome Tottenham Hotspur.

“The connection between ourselves and Spurs is evident with the Academy’s greatest son being a fully established Spurs and England player now.

“We hope that the style and quality of the football shine through. Come and join us as we watch the emerging players of tomorrow.”

Current members of the Academy Supporters’ Draw and those who have signed up for 2019/20 campaign will be able to book a ticket for FREE by visiting the Box Office at Stadium MK or by calling 0333 200 5343.

General sale prices for this exciting, must-watch fixture are priced at £5 adults and £1 under-18s.
