Spurs u18's v Reading (away) De Bie(C), Okedina, Cirkin, Maghoma, Walcott, Binks, Pochettino, Pedder, Whittaker, Markanday, Clarke.

Subs Stathern, Oluwayemi, Craig( Matthew), Craig (Michael), Lo-Tutala

Spurs win 2-0 (Markanday and Reading Own Goal)

Much rotated team again
- First Start for u16 striker Tarrelle Whitaker
- Spurs u16's Craig twins come off bench for u18 debuts, partnering as CM's
- First appearance on bench for u16 GK, Lo-Tutala (making 2 GK's on bench)
- First start (I think) for Rafferty Pedder as CM who was injured for most of last season
- Return for Dilan Markanday from injury (and scoring)
- Statham on bench after reports he's been trialling at another club.

The u16's are starting to get into u18 squads as usual, in previous years we've seen more of the by now, but good to have the first 4 confirmed (3 of them for the first time today) as likely to be in next season's u18's (in the last 10 years or so, there's only been one or two who made u18 appearances but didn't join Academy Year 1 the following season.

I'll try to keep a running list over the next few months of u16's making u18 debuts, so far its :
Timothee Lo-Tutala (GK)
Matthew Craig (CM)
Michael Craig (CM)
Whittaker (striker).

DerryLennon DerryLennon do you get a feeling that Georgiou's move is with a view to something permanent?

At age 22, it's time for Spurs to make a decision, although there is still currently room in the squad for HG players its starting to get a little crowded with Amos, Georgiou and even Ogilvie,

Currently of course (for CL, otherwise need to include Davies) :

Club Trained - Kane, Winks, Rose
Other FA affiliated club trained - Trippier, Dele

So we have space for 3 further HG over 21 year old players which might be from a combination of buying or promoting our own youth.

Solskjaer on #MUFC youngsters Chong, Gomes & Garner: "They're ready, they're kids. It's hard when you're a defender coming on if you're 16, 17, but as an attacker you just go out there & express yourself. There's your chance. They can win you the game, they don't lose it for you"

Be interesting to hear Poch's thoughts on this

Doubt Poch gives a shit.

I do find it slightly barmy that Tracey is still getting matches, but such is life. Pity to see BLF 'filling in' at LB too, but we've sort of brought that upon ourselves by not planning.

I caught about half of the match; very disappointing.

White did okay, as did Tanganga, but there wasn't a lot else. Tracey, TOB and Maghoma were abject, Roles really poor too.
