Spurs u18's dropped their first points of the season in a 1-1 draw at Reading today - goal scored by Dilan Markanday. Jamie Bowden again one of the best on the field.

We lined up:
GK - Oluwayemi;
Def - @brooklynlyons_3 Walcott, White, Cirkin;
Mid - @jamiebowden17 , A.shashoua;
AM - Markanday, @phoennixxx10 , Bennett;
ST - Mukendi

A much depleted u18 side as several possible players were playing for u21's on Friday night in beating ManCity and Parrott had a one match ban. Still a decent side though.

Thought it might be helpful to list the player criteria to play in the UEFA Youth League, the first match of which is on Tuesday v Inter Milan. Main points are on pages 26 - 29 of the link above.

1. Each club to nominate 40 players to be used this season before 10 September, of whom at least 3 must be goalkeepers. All the players must be born after 1 January 2000 other than up to 5 players (over age) who must be born after 1 January 2009 (edit 1999) and must have been registered with Spurs for 2 years prior to 18 September 2018. Some amendments are allowed after the first match day.

2. The day before the match day a list of 20 players must be sent to UEFA, of whom 18 will form the match squad, and at least 14 of these must have been registered with Spurs for 2 years before that date and a maximum of 3 of the match day squad can be over age players. .

3. Up to 5 substitutes can be made in the match, but using only 3 breaks in play.

4. Any player who makes 3 or more CL or EL appearances in 2018/19 seasons is ineligible to play in the youth league - IMO this is a bad regulation as it may inhibit player development.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Our 40 player squad will include :

- All Academy Year 1 and Academy Year 2 players (approximately 26 players in total).
- From the Development squad, these 4 players were born after 1 January 2000 : Jon de Brie (GK), Tariq Hinds(defender), TJ Eyoma (CB/RB), Tashan Oakley-Boothe (mid),
- Up to 5 'over age' players from Development Squad
- Potentially a few u16 or even u15 players
