Good afternoon from Spurs Lodge. Our Spurs XI team beat Sports & Future Football Academy from Holland 7-2 in a friendly earlier. Pix soon...

Ryan Mason scored four goals with John Bostock, Cameron Lancaster and Massimo Luongo also on target. It was 3-2 before we pulled away.

will Mason make the grade at Spurs? He was fucking immense a few years back. If not with Spurs, you think he'll play in the Championship then (hopefully) get promoted and prove his worth elsewhere?

I'm starting to think we'll let him move on, which I think would be a huge shame. He suffers from constant, niggling injuries, which have really hampered him over the last three years. He is very talented, though, would be a real shame to see him eventually play Premier League football elsewhere!

Windy, out of all the players you see on a (fairly) regualr basis, are there any you think will make it at Spurs?

Hmm, tough question to answer as there's so much that can go wrong!

I'd be very surprised if Luongo doesn't make it as a Premier League player... his problem is that there are so many CMs at the club.

Caulker has a similar issue with CBs, but I am fairly certain he'll be in our first team squad next year.

Have a mate of a mate who got to know Caulker while he was at Bristol City last year and apparently he's been told that as long as he continues to show the same form for Swansea when he returns from injury as he did for City he'll definitely be involved in our first team next season. That obviously leaves it very open for us considering it's subjective but good to know the club talk to the players like him and give them something to aim towards. From what I saw last season (about 7/8 games for City) I was very impressed and he could save us a lot of money if he gets playing for Swansea sooner rather than later.

How old is he now Windy? Remember him and Terry Dixon being are brightest prospects a few years back

Mason's 20 now mate - same year as Smith, Townsend, Parrett, etc.

Totally agree mate - he's top class, and Redknapp said something along the lines of "if he doesn't make it, something's gone badly wrong."

Swansea City defender Steven Caulker could be out for up to eight weeks after suffering a knee injury.

Caulker, who is on a season long from Tottenham, suffered the injury during last Saturday's 1-0 defeat at Woolwich.

The 19-year-old damaged his cartilage after he clashed heavily with an upright whilst making a goal line clearance.

From mid-september, so hopefully we'll see him soon? Though I spose knee injuries can be dodgy...

Ah found a more recent article:

"I spoke with Ledley [King], who has had a lot of recurring knee injuries over the years,'' added Caulker.

"I think it made me realise that as a 19-year-old I shouldn't rush back before I was fully recovered just in case.

"I'm ahead of schedule with my recovery and I could probably push myself to get back in two weeks.

"But I want to make sure it's right for the long term.

"With another week or two rehab under my belt that will take me up to the recommended nine weeks recovery period."
