Given their....sorry it's not theirs is it! I mean given the athletics ground they rent out, a big souless bowl with no atmosphere, they want be to be Woolwich as well
But they like Woolwich though. Their fans merge their club crests when we played Chelsea in The FA Cup Semi-Final ( Stammer wouldn't you fucking love to go and watch your team in an FA Cup Semi-Final, you bettcha!) Actually you are right, to be like Woolwich would mean that they would actually be rivals. There would be a genuine reason for the rivalry, one that has over 100yrs of history, rather one that is a false and marketed by the club for their gullible fans to buy tickets to a game in the absence of Millwall.

We are better than them and they know it thats where the bitternes comes from. they may have won the other night, playing flukey, boring don howesque football but, the table doesn't lie. With those owners they have no chance of getting any better either

My theory is that we are envied by West Ham because our success is more replicable than Chelsea or Arsenals , A sugar Daddy is a luck dip and Woolwich had success in the late 80s and early nineties and were already light years ahead of Spam and their massive upturn inform came in the late nineties before social media was even a thing , at the time of the dawn of Social media we'd been a dormant perennial also ran club for the best part of the last twenty odd years occasionally threatening to be decent but more often flirting with relagation who in the long term had always been better than West Ham but not always in the short term , in the full glare of the ever growing media they've sat and watched us grow and prosper under a project built on solid foundations whilst they've scrapped and floundered under various brain dead projects built on quick sand , failure to develop a good side out of the best group of youth team players of it's generations or the proceeds from it , the great Tevez and Mascherano scandal , Glenn Roeder & Abram Grant , the biscuitst barons and liquidation , Carrick Defoe Kanoute & Parker sold for peanuts , the Porno saga and the seven year plan to turn West Ham into Bayern munich , the shitbowl and no doubt many more embarrasing episodes , we on the other hand have cpme back stronger from every set back built by far the best academy in london developed countless young players from other clubs and by and large played good to great football since 2005 and witnessed some of the world's best players in our colours. I believe West Ham chose us because we were a realistic aim for them to topple at the start of The Spurs is our cup final movement us slowly building something year on year coupled with their constant one step forward 2 step back approach to running a club has really intensified the bitterness to epic proportions.

These cunts have never had much credibility but you mentioning Glenn Roeder reminded me of their so called fans calling him 'tumour boy'!
Unbelievable

Arrogance is a word they use that actually masks the real emotion they feel, ENVY.

They envy our club's history, our trophies, our owners, our manager, our philosophy to football (even copied the phrase The Tottenham Way), our style of football (they also copied the notion that they play entertaining football, err when?), our trophies, where we are in the League.

We have broken them. Such was their desire and desperation to be just like Tottenham they all sold their souls to be given the chance. They are all guilty of this, both the owners and fans, whipped into a frenzy of a promised land, a chance to be just like Tottenham Hotspur, a chance to no longer be relegated every few years, a chance to win a trophy like Tottenham, a chance to play in Europa League like Tottenham, a chance to have a positive goal difference like Tottenham, a chance to have great players like Tottenham, a chance to watch entertaining football like Tottenham. A. Chance. To. Be. Just. Like. Tottenham.

Their desire to be like us, has left them with a season of abject shit, another relegation fear, but this time their comfort blanket has been removed, to get relegated in this stadium and they are dead. This is their reality, they all know this, it now hangs over them like the sword of Damocles, a constant threat like a floating turd in a swimming pool, it's forever lurking in view no matter how hard they try to swim away from it.

Give them their victory on Friday, their highlight of their entire season, I'll say that again for dramatic effect...their highlight of their entire season, (they are still coming on here nearly a week latter lol). Pat them on the head and politely push them out the door back onto the street. From there they have a grandstand view of what we are doing. Have the comfort that they watch every game we play. They watched us fill Wembley with 85k fans, whilst they have thousands of empty seats at their bowl of doom. They watch 5 of our squad play for England, while none of theirs do. They watch our home grown talent flourish on our conveyor belt from our academy, whilst they have Noble (lol). They are watching every goal we score, with every victory we have it feels like yet another loss to them. Just when they thought their gamble to turn them into a club just like Tottenham Hotspur was in touching distance, we got better, we challenge for title's, we play in CL, we have a deep cup run, we play aggressive and attractive football, we are talk of the town. The final nail in the coffin is our new stadium, it's ours, it's in our spiritual home, it's a state of the art designed for football stadium, something they will never have. I doubt they will last the 100yr lease on their rental. We've broken their club, we've destroyed their soul. All because they wanted to be Just. Like. Tottenham.

Bravo!

Everytime I saw him play for Ivory Coast he was terrible and looked like he didn't give a fuck.

Imagine how motivated he would be at a tinpot club like spam

Hope they don't forget his birthday

Watching players continually trip on the green carpet covering the track was hilarious

Fucking joke of a stadium

have we done the

"should've died with yer bruvva" chant at Defoe as well.

bantz
Stuff like this makes my guts churn. There's banter & there is stuff that plumbs the depths.
Having a go at someone who has won a battle with cancer, or coped with the death of a family member is shameful tbh. Even the Judas & Adebayor stuff was grim to hear. I'm as broad minded & potty mouthed as most, but this sort of stuff makes my piss boil. Whoever the chant is aimed at.

On the chants side of things, I've got two fairly close friends, both West Ham, one is a successful lawyer and the other in the army.
Both down-to-earth, all round nice blokes. Not known for swearing or violence.
But when it comes to Spurs, the level of hatred and anger is unfathomable. Real Jeckyll and Hyde stuff.
They both have young sons so I always ensure I send them a birthday gift from the Spurs shop.

They've dined off of Woolwich for years its the main reason i despise them so much , they celebrated st tottering day (or whatever the hell it's called ) like a right of passage at times with even more passion than Woolwich themselves, twitter was full of of heartbroken West Ham fans trying to have a pop at us for celebrating finally ending Arsenals dominance the other day , imagine being so small time and pathetic that we celebrated every Chelsea success over the Oligarch era because they bested Woolwich I'd feel like a filthy piece of shit.
